You work for Ford? Because you sure sound like you work for them or just hate Elon…

Some of your threads:

“Has anyone been confronted for owning a cybertruck?”

“Has anyone had His/Her cyber truck vandalized?”

“Any regrets after buying a Cybertruck?”

“Is this Cybertruck insurance quote even realistic?”

I didn’t notice any major defects, gaps or issues, will run this truck into the ground. I keep my vehicles for years and use them as intended.
No defects here either. My model s plaid had more issues and cost 25k more

I’m about to place an order for a Cybertruck. I’ve owned two EVs and no ICEVs for a few years now, so I understand what EV ownership entails, including long trip travel.

The question is not about owning an EV. Rather it’s about owning the Cybertruck. Does anyone have any regrets and would rather he hadn’t bought it. If so, could you list your reasons.

Thank you.
I did for a moment. What do I mean by this?

My first roadtrip was only 500 miles. I'm in the middle of it now. About halfway through, the truck started throwing errors and eventually forced me to pull over with a critical error. I not only bought the CT for the tech, but I wanted to have a fun drive for this frequent 500-mile trip this I make monthly. But the first time I use the CT, it fails. I'm 0-1. For that reason, I sat on the side of the road and contemplated whether it was worth the money if I can't rely on it.

After powering off and on, I was able to complete the trip but only without Autopilot which seems to be the culprit. Since I've gone a couple days without problems, I'm in love with it again. But that could change during my return trip.

My only regret was waiting until March 2024 to order (got the invite in January 2024), because that cost me two months of time without this amazing machine, haha!!

Is it perfect? No, but no car I've ever owned has been perfect.

And I'm so glad for FS. Without it, I would've picked grey interior and core wheels. Now that I've owned the white interior with Cyberwheels, I'm so happy I was 'forced' to pick those options, haha!!

I just got my wheel covers on Saturday and now I'm complete.
how did you get your wheel covers? Did you get the off road lights? Do you have to take it in for the recall?

I am 3 hrs from a service center, so I’ll wait until they have their shit together before I bother with the journey.

I was bringing my CT in for service (tire rotation) and they sent me the email about the covers. The SC had them for me when I got there.

I have a FS AWD, so no light bar for me.

No regrets. I bought it knowing that it’s clearly a beta product and the refinement of the driving experience won’t match a 2017 Honda minivan, but that eventually this will improve over the years. It accelerates fast and it can do truck things if needed and that’s enough for me.

The price is another issue. If I were paying for it, I don’t think I’d buy it. I’d but a good investment today and come back in a few years and get it half off (presuming investment worked out well).

Zero regrets. Worth more than every penny. This is my first EV, first pickup, first vehicle that didn't feel like I was sitting on 17 different systems that were all deteriorating at different rates. I just drive around, looking at all the antique cars...

The Cyberbeast is worth every penny IMO. Super ride, great range, love that children and adults alike are drawn to it-builds curiosity in humans! I took one of my co-workers’ autistic son on a ride and the next day this is what he gave me!

I regret not getting the Beast instead of the AWD. But that’s it.
I was on that fence. Landed on an AWD with thoughts of future regret. Couldn't justify a $16.5k premium (minus the $3.5k for the AT wheel/tire combo default on a CB) just for an acceleration boost. After having an AWD for a bit, yea...no regrets. An AWD is plenty fast and I still have my M3P if I want to go faster [haven't driven my M3P in a month ?].

No regrets at all!! I've had my 'Beast for 4 months and already have 16k miles on her.. Tons of that towing or with a full bed.

We even had to use it post hurricane to power my house. I smile whenever I get in it!
