If the vault cover rolled into a small canister above the rear seats, it would enable a passthru to be used regardless of vault cover position. Current rolltop canisters (on my truck, anyway) are less than 10"x10".
There isn’t enough headroom in the ear seats for that.

Even if there was room it would be butt ugly and disfunctional and Tesla is all about functional.

Don't get too excited. For those of you out there for which the CT will be you first truck, many trucks rear seats come forward...without a pass through to the bed.
I'm not saying there won't be a pass through, I'm just saying a rear folding seat does not confirm a pass through.
This is true

That seems like the opposite of a pass through.

Right, you would think by now if a pass through was happening we would see a patent for that as its much more important to the actual fabrication of the truck than fold down seats. I wonder why they even need to patent the fold down seats.

They don’t unless they invented a new folding mechanism. The referenced art goes back many years.

That's what I thought. Maybe a pass through towards the top, but these seats don't look like they are flush with the bed.

Finally, now that it's set in stone I can start planning how I'll diy the interior seating. Looks like the middle will indeed need some fabrication to replace the passenger seat. I was worried the seats weren't fully 40/60. I wonder if the 60 uses a pin to hold the 40 like other m3/S.

Dang, I was starting to favor my seat belt hammock idea. I guess I should post my 3d renders for what I have so far one of these days.

There’s is always the possibility that the back of the seats are going to be the wall of the bed. From the recent video at Fremont it appeared as though the bed was open to the cabin.

The seal would only need to keep out rain for when the vault is open and would not “need” to be air tight because there’s no exhaust to keep out. I’m sure the HVAC could maintain positive pressure in the cabin.

This would fit with the mantra of “best part is no part. But does mean the rear window would likely need a hinge and is unlikely to be sliding.

No

That would suck balls.

Its a truck bed capable of holding 3500 pounds of rock. You do not want that load on the back of your seats.

I hope the rear seats can be removed. If there is a pass thru then your could extend the bed into the interior. If not then it becomes a sleeper cab. Nice flat surface inside the cab. If you don't want to sleep in the bed.

this thread on Reddit seems to show some of the 4K footage with what could possibly be a pass through.
