Just remember Elon has stated that is not the wiper. Current wiper is for test driving only.

I dig it, can't wait. though I have too...

The wiper on the vehicle from the Test track was different to this one. That one was completely straight from base to tip. This one has a kink from the base, so that the wiper is almost flush with the edge of the windscreen. Perhaps that's what he meant by not final? Can't imagine they will have anywhere else to put it, to be honest.

i still wonder if they have made a real full exoskeleton ct yet, most of the prototypes seem to be a modified model X with stainless on it, in sort of a Frankenstein truck.

fine for prototyping basic design and visual look, but not for the engineering design.

There's a video on YouTube with sound...and clearly the guy who's answering questions does not own a Tesla because he doesn't know how the Tesla app works lol..or where the tailgate release is. I wonder if the tailgate has a power close feature. There doesn't seem to be an area where you can grab to lift up, and when wet or muddy could be really slippery. That would be cool! ?

Oh and in the video the guy says " he (Elon) brought it here at 10"...assuming they did not make this in Texas and brought over from Fremont. Attached a better looking wiper for the reveal Wed. So this will most likely be the final production looks wise. More leaks please!!!

I'm 5'10", so my F-150 towered above me. I love that. I hate getting into a low vehicle.
For my Cybertruck, I will need a ladder to get in to the vehicle
For my DeLorean, I will need a ladder to get out of the vehicle

This one does look more like a production version of wiperzilla (no tape holding the power cord to the body like the version the tweet referenced) so technically this could be the improved version... my guess is "this is the best we have so far" type of thing.

I agree. My initial impression is- this alpha is defenitely smaller. It appears that the 5%(?) reduction Elon spoke about overall on the Leno's Garage episode has been implemented. I think it looks a bit better and sleeker- but I guess I will not get the satisfaction (or maybe i will) of humbling any big Hummer owners or huge truck owners if/when I pull-up next to them at a light.

:)

Definitely smaller from what I can see/tell.

I'm guessing this was at the Fremont plant, not Giga Texas?!

My Gladiator came with factory spray-in bedliner. I've had drop-ins, rubber mats, and spray-in. Of all those I prefer the mats first, spray-in second, and hate the drop-ins. I don't give a shit about damage to the truck; it's just the bed, but I want things to not slide around.
I think we can all agree that drop ins are the worst. IMO worse even than just bare metal.
