The truck bed looks very square. And not 6.5” feet long. ☹

All drones should now carry food/beverages and a reference item (for size comparison) for times like this. Drop-in close, feed the staff and get the info we all want to see.

Yeah yeah, it won't carry the weight, but one can dream haha.
I was thinking they need a little speaker on it.

“Please lay down in the truck bed and hold up a sign with your height in inches”

If you're going to grab drone footage and "spy" shots, why would you not buy the Mavic Zoom?

He's obviously using the regular Mavic which means he was probably only 25 feet away at an altitude of 10-15ft above the back bumper. My M2Z could easily fill the screen with the driver side door at a 50ft altitude and 50 feet away.

He should also have a camera guy operating the camera while he flies. But, who am I to give advice.

Like the old saying goes, the best drone to shoot a picture with is the one you are flying. Maybe they pick up enough views doing this to upgrade?

Also, lots of the best drone video is done by solo pilots.

(But… yeah, being 15 feet away 10 foot off the deck over private property is not cool and not really legal from what I understand).

Two different days of ~10+ inches here. The total for the rain-year is just around 30", too. About half of what we need for a year. There's only about three more months that we get rain, too.

-Crissa
My boss came from Germany and was here (California, Bay Area) during drought years. He used to tell visitors that it never rained in California and then was surprised when we had a couple of wet years. It surely rains less frequently than other parts of the country I have lived in but to say it never rains, so we don’t need good wipers, is simply wrong. Would I trade Northern California weather to have Michigan green and tomatos that taste like heaven again? Nope.

Got pretty clear indication that the bed won't be 78" long for you... pretty sure it will be ~6.5" in "midgate" configuration

Your base assumptions are wrong; the Cybertruck is 80+" wide. The marker lights say so.

Sure, let's assume it's 82" wide... clearly, it's still not 6.5"

Very fascinating watching people’s fears and uncertainty dominate their thinking.

Seems like every week the truck bed gets a little bit shorter, the price goes up another $1000, and the release date gets pushed back another 6 months.

At the current rate, we’ll see the truck in 2045, the bed will be 4 inches long, and it’ll cost $2m (Inflation adjusted).

The camera is at an angle. You are accounting for the overhang, but not the obvious tilt of the camera..

There is about a foot of overhang which it looks like you’ve accounted for. There is also a foot of length “lost” to the camera angle. (as indicated by the amount of the inside of the tailgate you can see).
