Well being new and all...is the higher Wh/mi number better or you want it lower?
lower Wh/mi is more efficient. Less energy consumed to travel a given distance.

I inverted the ratio in the post title to mi/Kwh to make it easier for people who are accustomed to ICE measures of miles per gallon so in that case higher is more efficient for both EV's and ICE.

Oh okay. just wondering how I could calculate my own efficiency.
First ev so all new to me.

Idk i didnt buy a 600hp truck to go slow….have fun with it
And you don't have to. The fastest way to travel is pretty much as fast as you want, but charge from <5% to 50%.

So many people have range anxiety and believe that range is king.
In reality, after 8 years of driving, it not a big deal.

If you want the best range, go about 30 mph.

As I posted in another earlier thread, my odometer is now over 3600mi for the last 3 months (110 days), it shows 335Wh/mi onboard, but if I divide the mileage with the total charged kWh shown in the app, the final number is about 470Wh/mi, including usage of A/C, overheat protection, etc. which is still pretty good. I don't drive very fast.

I wonder what I am doing "wrong" / differently. I am in the low 400's. I have been driving only in chill and mostly low. I don't accelerate obnoxiously (other than a few times for "testing"). But my normal work commute driving with normal traffic I am still in the 430ish range.
Stop using the brake pedal!

Where do you get this export?
I’m just using TeslaFi’s Speed Efficiency and Lifetime reports. I added the effective range column by using the Wh/mi.

Avg 50 top end of 60 most of drive. 20 miles 1 way. All flat. Not highway, but generally fast roads. About 20 lights and stop signs.
too many red light and stop sign kill the energy usage. Because of its dead weight, CT uses much higher energy during the first mile or so till reach the cruising speed.

That's most probable. I guess you 300 range people are just cruising around at 30 to 40 with not many stops.

I can't speak for anyone else, but almost all my driving is stop and go every few minutes/town driving. Even longer trips are generally back roads with lots of traffic lights and stop signs.

Same here. I have about 2500 miles on my CT and average of 436kwh/mile.

My commute is surface streets average of 45mph. Driving in chill mood

Try to add a zero at the end of all these numbers of miles. Then one can get an idea of real efficiency. Sample size of 800 miles or so is not really a good sample.

On can skew the results with the last 80 miles easily. Little harder to skew 3 or 4 thousand miles.

See everyone at 15k. A real sample size throughout the seasons if ya have them.

Also if one cares try to break up measurements around events. Tires swaps or annual resets. That way one gets a look at each years changes.

Funniest of all is lifetime wh/mi. Some will drive hundreds of thousands of miles to stand high on lifetime efficiency. Yet they might not know in the last 10k the caliper is rubbing as that got lost in the years of data.

Nice to see new people learning about EV's.
