Adjusting the Opening Height of the Tailgate from flat to 12° to 20°

[I did a search but didn't see a thread on this. I suspect there is an I may have missed it.]

The CT manual talks about the tailgate having a flat or angled position (12 °). There is a hack in the video below to give you a ~20 ° position as well. Not sure it would be good for the cable (connections, etc) but may be useful in a crunch.

Yeah, the 20 degree tilt doesn't look good for the longevity of the cable under heavy load and bumps in the road. If you need that tilt often, I would buy a shorter cable or look into different possible mount points

Credit given, thanks for sharing. I might not be one for videos either, but this is an awesome feature that fixes a problem I had.

When towing our trailer, the tailgate would rest on the trailer jack when opened. This made climbing into the bed (or climbing into the tent when camping) difficult and risked damaging the tailgate and camera. With the tailgate in the 12deg position, it no longer hits the trailer jack.

I agree with other comments - I wouldn't load up the tailgate in this position with a heavy load while driving, but it's great otherwise.
