Ran through an automatic car wash with it today. Tthis thing is completely fused to the glass. No way it’s coming off at least in the short term.
Will report long term but I highly recommend this method over Tesla’s.
Also tried to get you all a better picture of the hex film in the sun but it really is hard to photograph.

Unchanged. Average around 412.
I keep reading people are getting numbers in the 300’s and I have no idea how they do that.
I do have all-terrains with no cheese serving platters on them and have deleted my rear fairings but even before I did those things I was very close to what I am getting now.

I did the same thing.

I went through multiple car washes - stronger than ever.

Then 35 miles later @80mph it performed a disappearing act. I hope no deer tripped over it - I didn't go back to get it.

I was so glad it didn't break out the rear passengers window as it was a very violent event.
The windows might not be steel ball resistant - but they are certainly light bar resistant.

Now that’s scary. What do you mean by the same thing? VHB?

yep. The first time I used whatever the OEM double sided tape was. One side got loose. Then I used 3m VHB. It got loose after a very very hot day here. Then I used T-REX double sided tape and that lasted the longest - about 4 months. Then the 80mph wind after 35 min decided to divorce us.
Then I got the bolt on.

Your light bar isn’t going anywhere. I have no idea why Tesla isn’t doing it like this. As someone said previously, this is how Tesla puts their spoilers on their cars.

In fact, I removed the original factory spoiler from my model three performance and I put an aftermarket spoiler on it with commercial commercially available double-sided 3M tape. My friend bought that car 2 years ago and that aftermarket spoiler is still sitting pretty five years after I put it on here in the desert. I took the OEM one and stuck that sucker on my daughter’s M3P and likewise no issues. My aftermarket spoiler actually has some downforce so if something was going to give it would be that not your light bar!

How did you get it bolted on?
