So where is the power socket for the light bar ?

I'm in a similar situation. Looking forward to this!If I could get like 7 miles a day out of the solar (which I think Elon eluded to) I would likely never need to charge during the week. Weekend is a different animal though
Good Solar is about 15W per sf. If the cover area is about 7x5 (35sf) it will hit max about .5kW. The CT will get real world range just over 2 miles/kWh. Most areas are lucky to get 6 hours of average sun hours. That’s 3 kWh total production. So 6 or 7 miles in optimal conditions is probably close. I really doubt it will be integral to the tonneau cover like it was originally. It seems to prone to failure. But what do I know. And if it is in the cover you will probably have to cut the capacity down too .3 or .4 kWIf I could get like 7 miles a day out of the solar (which I think Elon eluded to) I would likely never need to charge during the week. When it comes to all that stainless body.....So they couldn’t fit the lightbar behind the windshield? I really liked that look. I wonder how having it on top will affect range, it looks like they really tried to keep a small footprint.
You shouldn't be "shocked" if the CT is getting over 2.5 miles/kWh, even a touch over 2.75miles.Good Solar is about 15W per sf. If the cover area is about 7x5 (35sf) it will hit max about .5kW. What say you to 15 miles per Sonny day(?)If I could get like 7 miles a day out of the solar (which I think Elon eluded to) I would likely never need to charge during the week. Weekend is a different animal though
That lightbar sure looks janky, like an Amazon aftermarket clamp-on. I bet other companies will offer something that looks like the original!Cybertruck Solar

This solar cover is designed to harness solar energy, effectively converting sunlight into additional electric power for the vehicle. Same, I've got about 6 miles each way. But I can also charge for free so the pricing will be the decider for me.If I could get like 7 miles a day out of the solar (which I think Elon eluded to) I would likely never need to charge during the week. Weekend is a different animal though
for sure.. i have solar at home so im not like in a rush to get this. but if i never had to plug in again i would be super stoked lolSame, I've got about 6 miles each way. But I can also charge for free so the pricing will be the decider for me.
I don’t know why you quoted “shocked”. Rivian is getting 2.1 to 2.4 in real world driving. Simulated airflow tests show the CT is likely to be close to a .39 and the R1T is close to a .32. The Rivian R1T was more designed for aerodynamics than the CT. Also both vehicles weigh a similar amount. About 7000 lbs so rolling resistance will be similar. Everyone likes to think the CT is going to beat all the others in efficiency and that would be great, but that wasn’t really the design intent of this truck so don’t be “shocked” if it isntYou shouldn't be "shocked" if the CT is getting over 2.5 miles/kWh, even a touch over 2.75miles.
