Until Telsa provides an official extension or updated CCS adapter,

You'll need this and the Tesla CCS adapter
EVject Breakaway Charging Adapter for Tesla Owners – EVANNEX Aftermarket Tesla Accessories

In either case, I'm waiting for the breakaway extension to come down to something reasonable (e.g.<$100) as I already have the Tesla CCS adapter. Maybe wishful thinking, maybe hopefully Black Friday deal :)

I got one and it fits. Haven't had a chance to test it though.

Has Tesla said anything official about CCS adapters and the CT? I've got the Tesla adaptor but of course it doesn't clear the fender. I've got the CHAdeMO adapter but having tried it with the CT yet. Eventually, I'll start towing an RV and when I do, I'll need access to more chargers.

Tested the CHAdeMO adapter this week with version 2024.20.9 and it still errors out.

Evject sent a code for half off when I asked a question on their website. Happily pay 150 for peace of mind but it ain't cheap.

I guess the advantage/need is if you are in an area with no Tesla Superchargers?

In SoFL, it appears to me TSC network is the cheapest vs EA, although FPL-branded stations might also be cost competitive.
EA is ass rapeage. I have seen them at .52/kwh.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tesla never supports CHAdeMO. It's a dead standard with no future, even relative to CCS.
Yeah I agree, I’m sure it is not a priority at all for them. Will leave it in the X :)

'Maybe' is all we have. The Cybertruck is 800v and Elon fired the charger team so... They may be waiting for other brands to just support NACS. Of course, that doesn't help the installed base out on BFE where you need adapters.

It only works with pre-NACS or transition vehicles, it doesn't work with many current Teslas, not just Cybertruck, I am told.

Where are you going that's the only option? Somewhere in Japan?

Oh mostly just nerding around. The CHAdeMO did help us once on the X when we went on a trip that didn’t have a Supercharger close enough between stops. It is all moot once we get the ranger extender in the Cybertruck. :)
