Not sure my gateway is updating. I plan on doing a Off-Grid test for the year but want to wait for cooler weather in case things don't go as planned.

My gateway is firmware version 25.26.0, UWC is 25.34.1. Switch off and on grid is really quick, usually only a few seconds in transition. Since I have anything of importance in the house on a UPS, it barely even blips when switching over and back.

Does your go- off grid button remain in the app after testing? In early version once tested the option went away.

If was in the app briefly a good time back and then removed. Since it's been added back, I haven't seen it go away.

I would check the gateway while testing. This was mine at first test by installer…this was 3 days ago.

Mine UWC is 24.44.3…how does it update?
UWC seems to receive firmware from the vehicle that plugs into it based on messages that have popped up when I've plugged in.

I haven't done it, but you should also be able to manually update firmware via Tesla One.

When you go off-grid, does it stay off-grid until you command it to go back on-grid reliably? Mine will often spontaneously revert to on-grid even though my cybertruck is still at a high state of charge. Sometimes it happens within half an hour of going off-grid. I have the same gateway firmware version as yours, my UWC is running 25.42.1

I haven't tried to stay off-grid for an extended period of time without an outage. I've run off the truck for over 6 hours during an actual outage, however.

Thanks for the reply. If you have a chance could you test your system to see if it spontaneously goes back on-grid? I had my installer out at the house for half a day on the phone with Tesla installation support about a month ago and they still haven't figured out what is wrong with it. Also had tesla service check the truck out. Last I heard they were supposed to RMA the gateway but still haven't provided an RMA # to my installer and won't respond to emails or phone calls.

Same versions for me.

PowerShare: 25.26.0
UWC: 25.34.1

One minor thing I noticed in the app is that there used to be text under the home name (upper-left corner) that read "Plugged in, backup ready" but it no longer has any text under the home name. My CT does show the bidirectional power icon when it's charging, and PowerShare did kick in at the last outage.
