Do they just pull off by hand and push back on?
Yes, in fact- the mounting ring goes on first and that requires alignment with wheel spokes- then the cover can align with the tires independent of the tire misalignment with the wheel spokes. (Imagine the snafu factor if the tire had to be aligned).

Absolutely thrilled to have my delivery today after a false delivery date set one week ago. Spent most of the week shopping winter tires and second set of wheels since Goodyears are MUD & SAND. Delivery was totally anti climactic. I drove off to a neaby shady parking lot and rotated the wheel covers because if you don’t align the wheel covers with the tire properly, the same damage to the sidewall will occur. Once aligned with the debossed notches in the tire sidewall, the new covers ride clear of any contact with the sidewall.

If you had time to photograph wheels at the Tesla Service center, then didn't you have time to engage the Tesla employees there and have them correct the wheel cover alignment? Why not because they could've double checked tire pressures too, while a shady parking lot somewhere else doesn't give you such an option?

Posting still photos at the Tesla Service and then driving somewhere else to align the covers instead of engaging Tesla Service employees to do it, leaves some questions of context.

I think you should've engaged Tesla employees to align wheel covers and instill refinement in their delivery processing, while providing us video of the Cybertruck coming out of the center that way during delivery.

Or was this a "contact-less" delivery? I wouldn't do a contact-less delivery because I want someone there. IMO too large of an investment requiring inspection of details, not to have both parties do the delivery in-person.

I just bought my third Tesla in December, a discounted new X long range which had been crashed by a demo driver. The repair bill was presented to me which required $6k replacement of the front right suspension, wheel, tire, paint. I got an $8k discount on the car, got it wrapped and drove it from NJ to AZ then UT and on up to CO. The round trip + extensive national park touring in the X totaled 7000 miles.

obviously, you should never buy a damaged Tesla…and what ever you do, don’t ever buy a Tesla with misaligned wheel covers without ripping someone a new dull John brown hind part.

Come on guys and gals, our wheel covers should be installed AS DESIGNED! Especially if coming from the manufacturer. Anything less is careless, and NOT acceptable.

I ask you; would it be okay if other parts were installed misaligned or haphazardly?
I think not!

Tesla should be managed like what it is... a world leading, world innovating, technology SUPERIOR company, not like some kick-starter campaign run by a bunch of frat boys.

I never saw anyone say anything to the contrary!

There also shouldn't be dirt on the floor, the tires shouldn't be 2 psi low, and the car should be ready for pickup at the appointed time.

What is your point?

CTs are shipped with the covers inside. The SC installs them after the truck arrives. Have you met the people working at Tesla SCs? They are all gen z or millennial part time gig workers that cannot be bothered to do anything.

Exactly my point! Some of the SC's seem to managed like they are a Delta Tau Chi -ΔΤΧ chapter, (with apologies to Faber College.)

Tesla's responsibility does not end at Giga, Texas... it begins there.

Please don't get me wrong. I am an investor and enthusiastic supporter of the CT. I want them to not only succeed, but to totally decimate their competition.

However, I do fear the "you bunch of whiners just need to suck it up and be happy with what we allow you to have" attitude from (some) employees at TESLA will irrevocably harm the brand in the long term. I hope Elon takes note and fixes this toxic attitude soon!

I think EV Dave bought a second Cyber Beast just to get the wheel covers LOL. Notice all of them on the lot in Charlotte appear to have the covers.
