If it was a good stout or porter I'd be more apt to go for it. Must admit to being tempted though.

Sometimes I worry Tesla’s design team just accidentally made some great design in the CyberTruck - like ‘even a blind pig’ style

because everything else coming out of Tesla merch looks like 1990’s Hot Topic merged with 1990’s Gucci, and now they’re just printing items that only Patrick Bateman would buy? To display next to a samurai sword collection.

No shade on our members buying these, because I don’t think you’re doing so in virtue of their design - I don’t believe you would ever buy these but for the indirect connection to the truck (and having been blue-balled for 4 years)

The 3, X, Y, S, aren’t particularly well designed (aesthetics) cars, which was always explained by the utilitarianism and aerodynamics elements. The CT seemed like an inspired design problem solution (even if divisive - good ones always are). The CT made one think ‘they’ve finally shown us what they can do when focused on design’

but then all the merch, the CT wrap choices to date, and even some of the design changes to the CT itself - but especially the Tesla merch - makes one wonder if the CT is a fluke, and Tesla’s ‘design’ boils down to Musk and Franz getting high and going “bro, know what would be siiiiick??’
No, the CT is the one design that is truly Elon's. The engineering team didn't want to do it. He had a vision inspired by his favorite plane, Blade Runner, James Bond, etc. The rest of the product is less Elon. The S3XY cars draw a lot from Franz's work at Mazda.

I would buy but am saving up for a 90k truck.
Which one, the Lightning or the Silverado? Why don't you get a Cybertruck instead? You could afford all the beer you could drink for the difference! And it's gonna be a much better truck.

edit: It just occurred to me that you might be saving up for an old-school internal combustion truck.

There's at least one DebbieDowner in every forum. Cyberbeer and Cyberstein aren't gonna change the timing of Cybertruck, not even by one day.

But I can see how you got confused by the similarities between the names! 😉

What you’re really paying $150 for is the mug and steins. Oh, and the collectibility factor.

It’s rumored that an official SS Cybertruck model will also be available soon as we inch closer to the launch.
