Honestly, the obsession with size is boring. We can see how big it is in these pictures. How big is it? Quite a bit bigger than a model Y. Truck sized. They have benchmarked the hell out of the F150, so there is no doubt it will be really close to that size. As Franz said it will comfortably carry "4, 5 or 6 people" up front, and a sheet of drywall out back. It will be a full size truck. What else matters when it comes to the size?
My reason for the obsession is figuring out open air bed size. I can't have a 5' bed due to cover overhangs.

Can't anyone else just chill about millimeter dimensions until some one actually gets one or Tesla does an unveiling? Are you that desperate to get your $100 back if it does not fit your desires, needs, wishes? You got some plywood that must be hauled any second now and it must be hauled in a Cybertruck?

I work with OCD people who have less need for meds than some of y'all.

That's fair. I more refer to trying to figure out every last inch. I think we've seen enough to say it's a 6' bed, give or take an inch or two.

I agree with that, 6' bed. I personally believe it'll be a 6' to-back-rest sized bed. The overhang on the OG was a mere 3-4", if that's same here... it's longer in open air than a Lightning/ F-150/ Ram/ Shitvrolet.... Just unfortunately slightly less than my 6' Taco truck.

I'm really happy with the pre-production truck. I think it's going to be great. By big hangup in this process has been whether they will deliver their range claims. I need 400miles of range for it to be my primary year-round car. My worries on that front were washed away when Franz said recently they'll have a clear edge on the competition there. So now I'm just anticipating production.

This isn't based on anything, but my original ball park guesstimate when I saw the Betas was that there was shrinkage front and rear. I thought at the time the bed was around 6'2" now, down from 6'5". I haven't seen anything yet that tells me that visual estimate is wrong. There is more overhang now though, which probably chops off another couple inches of open air space.

I'm loving the video of the 4 wheel steering in action!
For the first half of the video it didn't look like it had 4 wheel steering, After the truck made half a turn, backed up and then completed the turn, I said to my wife, "It looks like they may have 2 versions ready for production, because this one has no door handles, and has the triangular side mirrors and, of course, they are doing a suspension test, but it doesn't look like it has 4 wheel steering like they've been demonstrating in previous videos...." and just as I said that, he made an obvious 4 wheel steering turn. :)

Looks like great progress if they are fine tuning the suspension in April. Definitely looks like start of production will be about June timeframe, especially if the CT production line is already/mostly installed. 2 months is plenty of time to get things dialed in. I still would like prob want a 2025 build if they do get some off the line this year. 1 full year of working out kinks and bugs would be perfect.

I’m not sure what you are talking about. My chickens are highly accurate fine tuned measuring fowl. It’s a good thing their wifi is disconnected today. They get tetchy if you know what I mean…

Last time someone insulted my chickens it wasn’t pretty.

I’m pretty sure this is the best way to measure the truck. I know exactly how tall my chicken is and now that I have your highly accurate AR image of the truck, we can finally nail this sucker down.
EVERYONE knows that the chicken standard is only appropriate in 3rd world countries where bananas won't grow.....

The CT might be the shiniest truck on the road, and might have the strongest chick magnets in a EV ever made, but with you sitting in it, it will only attract chooks I'm afraid. 🤪 😉🤣

Impressive turning radius
Am I the only one that was expecting a little more out of the four-wheel steering?

In the video at 1:12 the driver needs to do a "K" turn to align the truck with the test track.
I thought the turning radius was just okay, and a long way from impressive.
