Am I the only one that was expecting a little more out of the four-wheel steering?

In the video at 1:12 the driver needs to do a "K" turn to align the truck with the test track.
I thought the turning radius was just okay, and a long way from impressive.
Imagine your F250 trying to make that turn. For the size vehicle I know it is turning in a much tighter area then my Ram 1500 could with the full size bed.

Looking at that K turn it looks to me he would have made that turn without issue but to be ultra careful he decides to do the K turn.

I recall the wooden planks that were utilized as a ramp during the investor day? It seems like they were extremely cautious.

The reason probably being that these prototypes could potentially serve as a standard for different teams to assess various components. They wouldn't want to make any mistakes and ruin the original.

Can't anyone else just chill about millimeter dimensions until some one actually gets one or Tesla does an unveiling? Are you that desperate to get your $100 back if it does not fit your desires, needs, wishes? You got some plywood that must be hauled any second now and it must be hauled in a Cybertruck?

I work with OCD people who have less need for meds than some of y'all.
For me it's simply a fun puzzle. I like the challenge and anxiously await the official dimensions from Tesla so I can check how close my estimates were. Some people like Sudoku, I like image scoring. :D

that could totally be vehicle related

equally possible it’s hardscape/landscape related - wise groundskeepers don’t just trust that 7,000lb vehicles won’t crack curbs

From the approach angle, it looks like they were making a u-turn, although it also seems the driver handled it poorly.

FUN FACT: long ago I had a rental car with a GPS Nav. I'd deviated from the programmed destination, causing it to yell at me loudly and frequently to turn around. My passenger, in trying to silence it, manged to change the language to Japanese. Interspersed between the words I could not understand was a Japanese man shouting "U TURN!"

Apparently, there is so much shame in having to reverse course that the Japanese have no word for it.

No shame, just lots of loan words.

Like, what's the word for orange, in Japanese?

Colors are weird.

We like to think of colors as fixed things, but they very between cultures and even our basic colors have shifted from generation to generation. If you took a picture of a robin few people would call it ā€œredā€, but that was what we called red just few handfuls of generations ago. Likewise people are called redheads because that used to be considered red.

Between cultures it’s even weirder with colors like green and blue being confused.

Don’t even get me started on violet versus purple… that one is a real head twister.

Did anyone noticed the 8mph speed limit was exceeded? Failing to meet test parameters.

If Tesla allowed reservists to volunteer testing, we would all stick to the 8 mph limit… šŸ˜‰

I’m not sure what you are talking about. My chickens are highly accurate fine tuned measuring fowl. It’s a good thing their wifi is disconnected today. They get tetchy if you know what I mean…

Last time someone insulted my chickens it wasn’t pretty.
and then there are the eggs. However, don’t put all your chicks in one Cybertruck.
