Before you go... Call Tesla. I had a problem when I first got my CT. I was able to call and they did charger and truck diagnosis remotely. It might save you a trip.

Unable to call on weekend. Wife was heading up near a service center so dropped it off at the SC parking lot. We live atleast 1 hour from a service center so it's hard to coordinate rides. Dropping off on a weekday and picking up a loaner is almost impossible with work/kids. This marks our fourth visit since within the first 8K miles or 9 months. Phew....

Luckily we have an 7 year old model x that has the same amount of service visits as the CT and (hate to say it) an ICE vehicle for when the teslas brick.

It's pretty easy to put together a viable 48v power source, either as a conversion from 120VAC or battery-powered. But it's kind of interesting that there isn't a product ready for that yet. Seems like Chinese are missing out on this opportunity :D

Lab or telecom power supplies work.
Tesla used an EcoFlow battery to 120V AC to power supply (module, not lab) to run Cybertruck in development.

No shortage of DIY options. I am just saying there are plenty of jump starters for 12V applications, but nothing yet for 48V.

There are 36V and 48V battery chargers for boats and golf carts. Just need to find the older style without all the smarts that prevent charging into an open circuit.

Lab power supplies aren't all that expensive, either.

But isn't the truck designed to reboot given 12v anyhow?

Yes, you can powerup on 12v enough to open the doors. But it lacks the power to operate everything that the 48V battery can.
