Where did you get this idea from?
Tesla: "To maintain service life, the battery pack should be stored at a state of charge (SOC) of 15 to 50%."

You are merely regurgitating what you have already said. Give me a link to the location in the service manual that says this.

Stored is the key word. To me thats referring to storing the truck, not for daily use.
What's the difference? Battery is still connected and being drained. SOC is SOC.

Don't take my word for it.

Tesla confirmed it’s not a depleted battery on their side (sorta was hoping it was that but nope). Tow truck in route. It’s currently 9 degrees. Wonder if something to do with it.
This happened to my CT the week after Thanksgiving. I didn’t get it back from the service center until last week.

I already searched it and know the correct answer. I was trying to help provide correction for your mistaken idea. As someone already pointed out to you, 15-50% is for long term storage SoC.

For general usage and maximum battery lifetime and health, lithium ion cells like to be at a 50% SoC. However, Tesla's pack is designed to be ultra resilient and you should charge according to your actual need.

What's the difference? The battery degrades whether you are using it or not. Using it makes it degrade more not less, so in storage it is more resilient and you should be able to keep at a higher SOC not lower.

They asked for a Tesla reference regarding a daily driver. Given the forum, preferably Cybertruck.
Sort of like this:

That's the charge LIMIT not the charge the battery likes to be at.

The service manual that states 15-50% is specifically for the Cybertruck. It's in a PDF document that was posted on this forum.

Tesla recommends 15-50% so technically you should NEVER charge above 50%
Which is almost impossible to maintain since Tesla also recommends you plug in your vehicle when not using it and the lowest state of charge percentage you can set it to is 50%.
