SpaceX assploding their own launch pad and causing property damage 5 miles from the launch site does indicate that SpaceX isn't capable of self-regulating.in terms.of safety. After that bit of recklessness (the results of which were so widely foreseen that I heard about without trying), I'd expect the FAA to be actively regulating them for a while.Elon must be getting rather impatient with government regulators about now. The second full stack Starship is sitting on the pad ready to fly and it looks like it will be 6 more weeks before FAA gives it a launch license. Sorry to be a little OT, but Elon seems to have so many problems with government regulators.
Same with X/Twitter. At X/Twitter, Elon is actively disregarding laws, consent decrees, contracts, and regulations. There's some lag while the regulators consider their actions, but X/Twitter won't win that fight in the long run.
