I’ve used my sub 200 VIN wiper often enough to know I haven’t had any issues…but coincidentally my passenger side R1S wiper motor did fail this year.
Ditto on my under 1700 Cybertruck. Hoping it's one of those "they don't make 'em like they used to" kind of things lol.

Good thing i use rain x…never had to use the wipers 5k miles
I use this all the time. Rarely use my wipers and it is much safer driving down the highways with it while it’s pouring down.

I was supposed to pick mine up Monday and now it’s moved to Friday 6/21 Vin 16447
Yep, My delivery was scheduled this morning and only received a message in the Tesla app at 3pm, no call, that my delivery was changed to 6/22 due to a wiper issue…Glad I saw the message before driving 2 hrs this morning, but super disappointed after finding out at the 9th hr I’m waiting another week. VIN 17516

I highly recommend putting a double layer of rainx or some other treatment on your windshield. When you do, the wiper becomes irrelevant and much less distracting during a rain.

So.. I'm seeing people listing part of their VIN#s. Does the 17516 indicate yours is the 17,516 of CTs produced so far?

I have a CyberBeast in the PNW....VIN is in the mid 300s....have used the wiper a ton (ummm....Seattle)...no issues.

My CyberBeast was picked up May 9 and the VIN is very early 8000’s in NJ. I’ve used the wipers every time it rained. No issues.

How do we actually know it's the motor and not the wiper itself? The correlation of people here having issues with the motor does not mean that the wiper issue is for sure the motor. People have also had issues with the rubber blade not making good contact with the glass, a few have had the wiper break...

So which person was told by tesla that the delay was for the motor? did I miss it somewhere?

Quite a few people have been told by Tesla they halted deliveries for safety concerns over the wiper motor. Inside EV has an article on it and several other ev reports are saying that too. https://insideevs.com/news/723427/tesla-cybertruck-wiper-recall-june/

I don’t know how they’re planning to get this resolved in a week. I’ve heard reports of people saying their truck has been in the shop for months waiting for the wiper repair. I hope they do get it all resolved soon because I really want my truck!

I have a delivery appointment for Monday at 5pm, VIN starting with 16.
That’s odd, I have a 16447 vin and my Monday delivery was delayed.
please keep me posted on your delivery.
If they’re replacing the motor with one with a new part number, I would have thought that they would be building them with the new motor ??‍♂
