Before purchasing this divider, I’d like to know how easy is it to install & then move it to another vault location when needed?

Thanks

It is easy to move around the bed. There are two tricks to it that I’ve found.
1) It is the same width as the bed, so you have to angle it slightly to lower it all the way down. Then you straighten it side to side.
2) when trying to latch it into the mole circles, close the center lever, slightly lift the opposite side of the divider you are trying to get connected, and push down on the side you are trying to latch. I push directly on the section of the divider that slides in and out. Once it is secure, go to the other side and push down hard on the sliding piece and it should click into place.

The mechanism loosens up after more usage and it all gets easier.

Super simple to adjust. I was impressed with the simplicity and sturdiness. I was expecting to have to turn bolts and keep track of small pieces, but no, it’s all one self-contained piece.

Mine doesn't lock into place easy I have to press it down on each end to insure they lock into place. The latch is easy to operate. If you can live with out it for a few months I would say wait im sure they will work the bugs out. but I do like the idea.. I wish mine locked in easier.

Mine too. I have the cyber tent and cybertruck storage tubs and wish it locked in right behind the sub trunk area but I’ve only got it to latch once and it was bent beyond what looked like normal use. I haven’t got it to lock in since not matter what I try. I wish it worked better. I like the concept but it just doesn’t fit right.

Most of them are a little hard to lock in because the bottom hits the bed and the clips don’t line up and are to high. But someone had a great thread on fixing that issue.you just pull off then ends with a 5/16 socket and take the little plastic guides out this gives you just a tiny bit of wiggle play and this solved many of our problems that we’re fighting to get it to sit low enough to lock in

‘That is by design to lock the rubber feet on the bottom to the bed via friction.

It’s a pain in the ass, yes you can try to make it work but there should not be that much effort needed to make it work In the first place. I would say hold on until they get all the bugs fixed.

A lot of people including myself have had issues with this design. It's a poor design with respect to tolerances of the bed flatness versus the L track. I made mine work by filing down the top of the plastic cleats which seat in the l track. Prior to that I had to kick it down with substantial Force. Bringing it in for service did nothing. For an expensive Tesla accessory I can't recommend it, but who knows maybe you might be lucky if your bed is just right or if you are willing to do the filing I mentioned- it does work after that.

I adjust my vault floor to make it fit better. I have to sit on the end to force it into the track. Watch out for getting your finger pinched in there
