There is a known issue where some Cybertrucks have a bowed upward bed liner and therefore the Vault divider does not lock into the L-Track when used over that portion. If you have this issue, when you place the vault divider over the liner, the sides will stick up too high and will not fasten into the L-track. You do not need much force to lock the divider into the L-Track and should certainly not force it to lock into place.

Recommend putting in a service request if you are running into the issue. Tesla knows there is a problem and will replace your liner under warranty.

I have a request open for mine and will have it replaced next week (after a long wait due to personal and work travel).
Was Tesla able to fix this issue for you? I have a very similar issue and my cargo vault does not align with the L-Track. I'm not sure whats my best option here.

I took this to Telsa this morning and talked with the senior tech for a while. He told me that they were aware of the problem and that Telsla needed to rework the bed liner. He put in a ticket internally to add more weight to the issue.

They replaced the bed liner, but it is still bowed. He said to follow up in about a month or so to see if there had been any progress. He said he certainly doesn't recommend the solution of cutting the vault divider to fit, which I wholeheartedly agree with!

Technician notes:
"Truck Bed - Bed Floor Assembly - Remove and Replace.
Condition still exists. A re-designed bed floor will need to be fitted when available."

Thanks for the update. There must be a batch of bed liners that aren't to spec. I messaged service and asked them about it but they hadn't seen the issue yet, but I assume it's coming now that more people are getting their dividers. Please keep us updated when you learn more.

I returned my first cargo divider at the advice to the SC to see if I have a defective divider. Apparently there are a lot of defective ones out there. Not sure if that’s true, sounds like the bed liners are not properly aligned because I ordered another cargo divider only to run into the same issue with the new one.

it’s very frustrating and I cannot get a hold of anyone at Tesla with a straight answer. I’ve even made a service appointment that they cancelled because they do not know what to do.

any feedback would greatly be appreciated.

I used the @aeroguy solution for the vault divider issue:

https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...rgo-divider-fitment-issues.19577/#post-354666

Worked perfect.

I had the divider installed in it’s tightest spot, loosened the six (6) bolts on either side (four [4] on the L-tracks and the two [2] side panel d-rings). I then used a soft dead blow hammer to nudge everything a bit higher by gently smacking the divider “up”. Visually, the L-track looked to be in the same position, but I could immediately tell that it loosened up. It was so much easier to disengage.

After that, I tried the divider in the other spots. Fits and locks in perfectly now. I tightened the L-track bolts with the divider installed right next to them to keep things high and level.

Easy and quick!!

Thanks @aeroguy !!

I think you have the same issue as me. Basically the bed of the truck slopes up from the cab to the gear locker. I found a guy with the same issue and took a screenshot.

IIf you have the newer one from Tesla, there are rubber feet on the bottom of it that are removable.

This allows enough space for the liner

Yes thanks .
With placement the left side of the vault the small retractable part just flushes itself when the small flap is depressed . The right side doesn’t is this right . It holds its position

It could be your truck, not the divider. That's what happened to me.

i agree . I just attempted to try again . only fits at the furthest point closest to the cab no where else not even the rear part where most people were able to fit it . sounds like a truck problem . will only know if the replacement part doesnt fit . but my money is on the truck part being theproblem .

Yeah it's a rather quick adjustment to the L track on the truck. That's what fixed it for me.

Got mine a couple days ago. No issues. I removed the rubber spacer on the bottom, removed half of it, then screwed it back in. Fits great with my third-party bed liner.
