But why would you want to tow a boat, if what you tow with, is a boat?

While I was clicking on the thread, In my head I was already going "come on Elon, you have got to be kidding, the CT is towing a boat through the water?! This guy is really nuts!"

Very curious to see how it affects range. I agree with folks who say you don't really need more than about 350 miles of range for everyday driving or even road trips, but if a trailer drops your range to 175 miles then that gets real annoying real quick! Hence why a 500 mile range version that gets 250 miles when towing is so useful.

Good point! You would need the full 500 miles of range to cross the Gulf of Alsaka, from Sitka to Kodiak Island.

And the real elephant in the room: I wonder what towing a tender would do the range in boat mode.
