I'm waiting until I get my Garage closer to done. But probably before December.
I changed my mind. Going to configure now. My neighbor will let me charge using their L14-30 outlet, in their garage. Still have to work out a few details. Like how get the adapter kit, when they appear to be sold out. I can't use the L14-50 plug, that comes with the Mobil connector.

Yes, I was the second to post about it on the forum. RN11280xxxx, I reserved during the reveal, I got a number estimated to be at 56000 in line.

Our budget doesn't allow us to purchase a vehicle at this time; waiting for that to change. Hopefully the price will slide downwards (and get that tax credit) while we can't.

How will Tesla produce a cheaper truck than the Foundation series truck? Cheaper sound, no seat ventilation, thinner exterior steel?

RN1128 and I ordered.

For what it’s worth (because I had to go into the showroom locally on Saturday to order as the internet/app wouldn’t work) they told me I should expect the truck in October and a VIN as early as Monday/Tuesday. We will see!

Received the invite but decided to hold off a little longer:

-Waiting for 2025 model. It's so late in the year, what's a few more months
-Waiting to see if the $7500 tax credit becomes available with the new dry cathode 4680 battery cells rumored to be available soon.

The Tesla website says that Foundation series is all first model year Cybertrucks. I’ll be curious then if all non-foundation will automatically be MY25.

I got my non-FS invite and i placed my order during the reveal event in 2019. Not configuring yet because i’m in the middle of a home sale and want to wait for the dust to settle on my finances before pulling the trigger. Glad I waited though because given the way i’ll configure with the current procing i’ll be saving about $13k-$14k on the CB (plus tax on that amount) relative to the FS version which to me is worth it since i’d rather do a bunch of aftermarket upgrades with that money than buy more options from Tesla. But secretly the wait isn’t the easiest, not gonna’ lie.

no tax credit = no order .
Have invite-Rn 1129

my thoughts

would hate it if I order now without the credit then they get it sorted out and qualifies.

currently driving 24 m3 Lr rwd (awesome commuter). If it doesn’t happen I’ll just get the Juniper as 2nd car.

Same as above, #1129 rn but waiting for clarification on tax credit. If it doesn’t qualify, then they can publicly say that so buyers can make an informed decision. If it does qualify then the wait is well worth it.

if it doesn’t qualify the fs makes a bit more sense, especially if it really has more range than the base model. Interestingly the CB has the same range whether foundation or not.

my hypothesis #1: looks like they enabled nonFS for top 10% of the queue (first 200k reservations that are still active) .. it will be interesting to see the conversion rate this time around...

hypo #2: I think the FS conversion rate was really small like 2.5%-3% for the FS for the 2M reservation queue .. it is gross estimate and I look to others who may have better insight to help me refine the #s.. .I am fascinated with the way Tesla created the pipeline and executes sales for this extraordinary machine.

hypo#3: wait one more year and you can get a CT @ $60k used vs buying new $80k

what do you think?
