Took delivery of my CT 6 days ago in Las Vegas. While inspecting the truck during my delivery appointment I noticed that the seals along both sides of the windshield were not uniform, and in fact appeared to have cracks in various places from the top to the bottom. Almost looks like cracked old tile grout.

The Tesla delivery center had no service techs at work at the time I took delivery, so I accepted delivery and immediately photographed this (along with a few other issues) and scheduled a service appointment.

The earliest SC appointment wasn't for several weeks.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other CT's to compare mine to, so I figured I would reach out here to see if anyone else's windshield seals look like this. I would assume that these seals should be nice and uniform, and look like a seal/gasket that is consistent from start to finish.

Any insight is appreciated!

Firday afternoon assembly quality. Very shoddy workmanship.
There’s a study that proves this. Sad, isn’t it?

I predict assembly quality will suffer with the new 6am - 6pm shift Monday to Thursday that started this week.

I don't think there is one quality american built car.
I always used to buy Toyota bc american quality is poor but I deal with it for Tesla's tech advantages.
I think the factory workers are low skill, and have little pride in their work, which is unfortunate for Tesla customers.

Mine wasn't perfect on the driver side at delivery so I compared to others on the lot. It was a mixed bag when I looked at others. Looking recently it seemed to resolve itself. What threw me at delivery was I expected it to come up and on the windshield but that's not the case. I guess that's not the design compared to the seals I usually see on autos. It seems to just meet to the side of windshield. Being rubber it seems to contort. Don't know if hot summer sun helps or hurts that.

After looking at your pics again closer you have something different going on than what I was referring to. That doesn't look right. They will fix that.

I had my A pillar replaced and that's how they left it so I put in a service request to get it fixed

Really appreciate you taking a couple pics, this helps a ton and confirms my gut suspicion that my seals are DEFINITELY looking awful.

Crazy how this could happen on a brand new vehicle. My seals look like they’ve got 10 years of UV exposure and dry rot.
