Salty roads in Ohio... same experience as others. Passenger side is barely touched other than where the fluid is dispensed. I've had the blade and arm swapped about three times.

Pretty good during rain. Kinda sucks in every other circumstance.
  • Only sprays in laminar jet lines instead of atomizing.
  • Fluid is not dispersed proportionally to the radius.
  • Only sprays when wiper is ascending.
  • Water accumulates under the wiper when it’s horizontal and creeps up the windshield when the wiper is turned off.

My Wiper is the worst part of the cybertruck. It does not spray or clean. i have to carry a damn long squeegee around with me. Guess thats what the frunk is for.
When I took delivery of my non FS Cyberbeast (2 months ago) my wiper didn’t work at all, had to get it fixed 3 weeks later, it’s fine now.

What did they replace on your wiper? The motor?

Just to add, yes, it’s terrible when there’s salt on the road. It just smears it all over. This is the single bad thing about the Cybertruck.

Honestly, I’m just shocked they didn’t test it in snow / salt areas during vehicle development…

They did. I saw release candidate trucks in Tahoe last winter. I bet they just wanted to get the truck through production and figured it might be something they could improve later.

Good to know. I was wondering if they knew about it but didn’t want to delay the release and planned to issue a redesigned fix for it.

I’m confident Tesla will fix it…it’s just a matter of how long it will take.

Agree! I also did the recall with motor and they replaced the arm and blade too. It's terrible and no matter how much washer fluid you use it still smears.

I suggest decontaminating the windshield the trucks can have water marks and streak from acid rain once you decontaminate the windshield keep it protected with a ceramic coating.

The CT is not the only car that this tends to happen but the fact that the windshiels is so massive is hard to clean i dont think the tesla detailing team is doing a good job decontaminating.

Did you use the water spot remover to decontaminate the windshield?

Yes any waterspot remover can do the job this one is really good also works on the metal panels but if you use it on the metal you will have to do the whole panel cause it will look way cleaner or just wait until it blends back with some rain and contact with the elements.

I’m a little late on this thread but my wipers have worked fine—more than fine, actually. I occasionally have a little spot that gets smudgy but a little extra wiper fluid and it goes away.

Mine doesn’t suck, but not much is required of it here in the desert Southwest. And we don’t have any snow in the mountains this year yet so I got nothing.

This would drive me nuts. My Model S and my wife’s Model Y have the worst automatic wipers I’ve ever used, that drives me crazy. This seems worse.
