Email received: Cybertruck reservation holders asked to buy something else "while you wait"?

Not sure I understand being asked to buy something else "while you wait".
9XXX reservation.

Was hoping the email was a CT configuration email but was basically asked to config and buy something else.

I dont understand what Elon thinks I will do as a "normal" human?
Take two new car "off the lot" cash hits?
Just not possible to sell a car to make room to park CT in garage and pray one day it might happen.

I never got one. I honestly don’t think the wait will be that long. I think the price went to far and a lot of people will drop out. I’m getting it but going through sticker shock right now.

I’m early in the Day 1 queue (if that even means anything) as I placed my deposit the moment the URL went up. I know plenty here believe RN is irrelevant, so perhaps these emails and associated RNs will tell us something.

Chevy sending a "don't forget about the Silverado! (That you can't buy yet and the way things are going for the Ultium platform, won't be for a long long long time)" email was bad enough.

This one was straight up poor taste on Tesla's part, though.

I got the same one. Very odd, but it did give me a chance to see the final CT pages with a LOT more details than ever before.

Now I'm wondering if it's a way too subtle way of saying, "All the people buying the $100k Beast Mode truck are going to be skipping you in the mythical line for a year or two, so you might as well get something else".

But I might be a little extra cynical today.

I got one (Ordered in November of 19). Not sure what to think of the ask from Tesla to buy something else in the meantime, though. Seems…odd.

I think its because they know a lot of people are going to cancel their CT orders due to the higher prices, so they're probably hoping they can get those people to buy a different cheaper Tesla instead. OR.... this means we are still going to be waiting a long time until they start fulfilling orders. hopefully not the latter.​

Note: I didn't get the email until I went to my Tesla account profile and allow Tesla to send me newsletter and other emails.

Edit: My RN is in the RN113s.
