First Cybertrucks in Tesla stores now! @ San Diego & San Jose first

II kept my promise and just returned home from the Tesla store at UTC San Diego. I'll post some photos later....I live about 25 minutes from UTC (University Town Center) 1st 2 hours of parking is free.

I went to UTC just to see the Cybertruck and was absolutely NOT disappointed. It is striking in person. Despite all the FUD cast upon it, I came away convinced that this will be a hit and portends a change in the status quo.

I went to the Colma store this morning and they didn’t have one and were unable to say whether they will get one before the delivery event. Then I drove down to San Jose and there were people taking names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses to get in, but there it was and it is a beautiful thing to behold. They let me take pictures but said ‘no video’, but no one was paying attention. I have to say that it seems just as big as the one we saw at the Petersen last year. If smaller it isn’t by much. Very tight in build quality from my point of view. The front seats looked like they were all they way back and I’d have to move them way forward. The seats looked very nice.

these showroom units appear to be staged in the “high” setting.

In high, they appear every bit as big as my stock Lightning.

Lowered to standard height, the relatively smaller size is much more apparent.

Though, if I raised my Lightning on 35” tires and a 2” lift, the CT’s relative size would be apparent even in “high”

Seeing the CT shape-shift in size is pretty wild

Hate to say this but wheel caps are not aligning with tire indent (mold). Last photo in series showing wheel.

They aligned it in between the spikes instead of on.

No, I was in LA so drove down to San Diego. Asked to sales guy to measure the windshield wiper for me. He refused.

yep, looks all zeros to me. The location of vin is quite difficult to shoot, adjacent to the middle arch of the blade, I am not tall enough, 6' 3-4" would be ideal. Anyway, some more shots, showing perfect fit. The front arm is tilting upward.
