I got my invitation to purchase a couple of months ago, but my only available choices are the Foundation Editions. Still. and no word on when the standard versions will be available. and no way to communicate with anyone at tesla about availability and no news.
The good news is that I am glad to let the problems get sorted out before I get mine.

We have a model 3, a model y, and a bunch of tesla stock.:Love the cars, absolutely -HATE- the communication and customer service.

Think how the best selling cars in the world would sell if somebody actually was available to talk about whats going on with individual orders!

Maybe the tesla owner newsletter i have signed up for several times actually existed????? have never heard a peep.

I totally agree Tesla has terrible customer service. Not looking for hand holding but if they give you delivery date ranges and are way off a simple email explaining the situation would be helpful. Even their PowerShare install procedures are dark. I filled out the survey over 6 weeks ago and not a peep on what is going to happen. Totally unacceptable.

SO they could delay the non foundation till when? 20125-6 even? That seems crazy.

They told you a company would be assigned and get back to you. That's a subcontractor, not Tesla.

They know exactly when it will stop. it’s part of the business plan.. (FS is not truely exclusive or limited in the way it’s portrayed)

Prediction for switch to regular sales from Foundation.
When sales slow down, they will continue to keep making the identical Cybertruck but sell it for $20k less and remove the Foundation stickers.
All the software based options like FSD will become options again.
Betting that the interior will be identical and hardware like bed power etc will remain, possibly disabled in software.

I mean...... This is not poor communication.

Is the ask here really that Tesla cust svc agents should be available so that "are we there yet?" questions can be asked from folks who haven't even placed orders?

Tesla is not going to say in advance when regular units will go up for sale, this should be obvious to all. This is no different from Apple not telling people in advance when the Vision pro "lite" will be released, or Google not telling when the Pixel A series phones are released.
