Hmmm, mine has been randomly doing that since I got it a couple months ago with and without FSD.

I just commented to my family yesterday that I thought it was cool so had to read this thread. I like having the truck with a mind of its own and it’s kind of like it’s waving hi- LOL

Frankly the constant random wiper sweep is very annoying and I am disappointed that they would release 13.2 with this apparent bug. I was really enjoying Self Drive until I installed the update yesterday. My son and family will be here for Christmas and I was looking forward to him borrowing the truck and using Self Drive but the wiper situation is embarrassing.

The random and intermittent single wipes of the windshield are very annoying. Much worse after the 13.2 update. Maybe more pixels are now used to find the obscure dust specks?

My workaround has been to move the wiper app icon onto the bottom of the screen so I can access choices and switch from the (non-functional) ‘auto’ to ‘Off’.

The other way to access the wiper app is to press the wiper icon on the steering wheel.

Just learning to drive my first Tesla FSD (supervised) , my Cybertruck. While driving around I am going in and out of either Auto Steer or FSD or manual (me, the human). Each time that happens the Wiper goes back to auto.

Many thanks to the person that found that information in the OWNERS manual.

I’m down from 10-15 wipes per 20 miles to approximately 2-3.

Same. I'll turn FSD when leaving home. After I get about 1 mile in, the wipers consistently turn on once - but the windshield is bone dry with no bad weather. Occurs within the same 100 yards about a mile out. Something needs tweaked

First off much improved a lot less interventions. Now for some reason my wiper fires off randomly. I finally got fed up with it and turned the auto wipers off. Anyone else having this issue?

Mine did this through v12 as well.... When you turn on fsd it ignores your manual settings though. So just kinda sucks ? ngl the auto wiper feature has only gotten worse since 2019 somehow.

I did a 60 mile round trip yesterday and they randomly went off in the 30 miles to destination . I shut them off for the return trip.

Been having this issue since delivery a week ago, so far there hasn’t been a drive with it not randomly sweeping at least once or twice. I keep turning it off and it sweeps again, perfectly sunny day. I am mostly driving on FSD, didn’t realize it defaults it to Auto, was driving me crazy because I kept turning it off and then it’d be on auto again and start going at it so now I know lol. Definitely random and unnecessary sweeping happening.

Happening to me as well. Just got the latest update. Hope that’s been fixed. And yes, FSD is way better now!

I had the first random wipe yesterday, about one minute after I engaged FSD. This is one in sixteen drives. I selected FSD on the Autopilot screen as soon as the new version downloaded, and haven't deselected it since. Also I've had the wiper mode set to automatic the entire time.

Lots of wiping for me. This is new. And this was without FSD engaged as my son visiting for the holidays likes to drive ol school...

Jumping on this one, definitely a bug in the new update. I had no issues before now wiper randomly turns on all the time. Washed windshield specifically and still happening.

The new update today 13.2.2 did not give me any random wipes. I did about 45 miles of FSD in the soupy weather in the Bay Area today.
