I just noticed my part number for my upcoming service is slightly different than what was posted here. My truck is January 24 build.

Mine is the same, just a “C” at the end, but yeah same part.
we all know from legacy auto, the letter represents the revision of the design

Scheduled and the technician is coming to my house to replace it. One thing I love about Tesla is that they’re always improving internal parts and we generally get them under warranty.
Scheduled my service appointment today. Pat is order under warranty. Installation July 8th. I love Tesla

Looks like there is finally a solution being offered by Tesla to fix the phone overheating issue for the center console chargers:

I just scheduled a repair with my local SC!

Yes!
Very cool. Thank you for sharing. Is this available to all CT owners? How much is the upgrade?

Based on input from other members (who just had this done), it didn’t help, so kinda depressing actually. The fix, is apparently, not legit.

Is the charger upgrade under warranty? If not, cost?

Which LED light did you replace?
All of the interior ones. I I wanted to be able to change the color to match the ambient lighting. The one I was speaking up specifically. You have to pull that panel off to get to the light. So that exposes the charger back where I may be able to put some heat sink.

Tesla mobile service just showed up to replace my phone heater (May '24) with the new heat sink enabled version, I'll report back if it has any effect with an iPhone 16 Pro Max. Before replacement, my phone would overheat within 20 minutes.

Let us know if it fixes it for you, many reporting there is no difference.

My fingers are crossed for you!

????
Already reported this previously, but there is no noticeable change. My main concern was the fact that it barely charges the phone and that is still the case and yes, it does heat up so really no change whatsoever. My guess is the coils aren’t close to lining up on a iPhone 16 Pro which is designed for MagSafe, which has perfect alignment and does a really bad job with Qi charging.

UPDATE: Replacement done, super easy fix. Service was free and completed in my garage. This is the old part, as with earlier pics from others, the most visible change is the addition of heat sink fins.
