Tesla will have a solution.

Way that trim works, it’s supposed to be easily removed - and Tesla won’t miss a chance for an OEM $2 part that costs $45 ?
Then someone buys it. Scans it. Sculpt prints the mold and voila...$19.50 later...money maker!

I'm sure there'll be aftermarket covers available to smooth that over.

1,000% percent chance I slap one of these bad boys in after I remove mine:

I doubt Tesla sells a part made for removing side mirrors. This will definitely be an aftermarket product and there will be some clever one's made.

Sadly in California I will have to keep them on, well just one on the driver's side, but that would look stupid with one missing.

Maybe someone or TESLA will come up with a small camera to go into that hole..and be able to transmit that video feed to a better rear view mirror. Heck, while I'm on the topic, also need another camera feed from a rear camera to use when the vault is closed. I know already there is a feed on the screen.. My idea is better ?

Etron's in Europe have a camera option..

I believe Tesla is actually including plastic "blanks" that fill the hole. I remember seeing rectangular plates in the glove box in the Out of Spec video from the delivery event. He noticed them but didn't comment on them.

As the OEM Tesla cannot do that. Per NTHS regs mirrors are required and OEM cannot design for their removal.
