Anyone notice pretty loud tire noise on highway especially at 80mph? I had the truck for more than 1 week now, I felt the highway tire noise is loud but acceptable because these are the 35 “RT” tires, today I got a chance to ride in the backseat, the noise is much louder than the front. I felt like the truck has mud tires on it…

Have you owned a truck, or any car with AT tires, before? I ask because they are always [super] noisy and if Tesla has found a way to keep the cabin noise-free up to 50 mph then they have done great!

Yeah I gotta think the tire noise may be even more pronounced and noticeable in an electric truck when it’s not competing with the ICE engine noise over 50mph.

I had a Toyota FJ with AT tires that sounded like there was legit road construction going on inside the cabin when on the freeway…….

Yeah, I just want to make sure if it’s normal. I had a F150 with on road AT tire before. I think that tire is not as aggressive as the wrangler RT.

Hmmm interesting. I assume it's tires, probably same all terrain tires people blame the CT for when it comes to sliding in the snow. Off roading tires (especially) can be pretty loud, I had some on my H2 years ago.

Congratulations! I am just waiting on my Beast vin, whatever month that may happen in.

I think what Tesla did is working with Goodyear on the OEM spec wrangler RT, the tire tread is not as deep as regular wrangler RT.

Can anyone provide insight into whether the CT is going to have active noise cancellation?

Road noise is mainly determined by the road surface I'm driving on. Nice freshly paved road equals a smooth, quiet ride. Typical worn, cracked, patched road equals rough, noisy ride.

i had the same issue with my FJ. Added sound insulation that worked well.

Decent difference in R1T between street and AT on tire noise levels. However the Goodyear AT definitely look to be very EV friendly like the pirelli ATs on R1T. So a little surprised by what your finding.

I had the “real” Wranglers on my Ram and after 20k miles were extremely obnoxious so I had to get louder exhaust lol. Not so easy on EV.
