I have been using V2 for the past 2 winters and am overall happy. My only complaint is that I can’t go through a car wash because water gets inside and ruins it. Any idea why? Seems like it’s on pretty tight.
No, we added a note to the box to avoid touchless car washes and pressure washers. The latter especially, can be extremely powerful at the right (or wrong) angle. It's pretty easy to take an emblem off with a pressure washer, so something that's more chunky will be more susceptible. It seems like most car washes, touchless or otherwise, have a pressure wash at some point, and since the back of any car is a known collector or grime, they tend to really focus on that area.

I found that water only gets to the inside of the lens cover if the tailgate is lowered in any wet situation. The lens is continuous with some space inside the tailgate that takes on water. So as long as you give it a day to dry out either after a rain or car wash before lowering the tailgate it should be fine. If you have to lower the tailgate and it’s recently been wet you can kiss the cover goodbye.

I'm having issues with the v2s warping and letting in moisture. My last one lasted longer after I coated the edges with epoxy

This is what I did to fix the water intrusion. I've had the v2 on for over 9 months and have gone through a car wash over 20 times.

My fix
