LOL, that was exactly my point when rep. at Denver showroom told me it is delivery unit. When I mentioned lack of "Founders" logo, the guy had no idea what Im talking aboutDid it have the "Foundation" markings?
@ElectricSheep you are not from THAT group. THAT people never heard of CT until Twitter takeover, havent reserved one, know nothing about it, nor care about it.There are folks who are day 1 or 2 CT reservation holders who were certainly disappointed at the specs and pricing of the final CT. $30K price bump and only 65% of the claimed range is a huge miss by Tesla in my opinion
I wonāt qualify for the EV tax credit in 2024 and still think the value proposition has certainly dropped for the CT. I like some of the features, but it canāt replace my Jeep Rubicon related to off-roading (no brainer), but I doubt it can tow my off-road trailer as far as my Jeep. I am still holding My reservation to see it in person and compare directly to the competition before making a final decision.
not the caseThey are actual customer cars.
I think I'll want to touch the truck, sit down in the front and back seats, open the frunk and play with the bed cover, drive it thru around, and thoroughly leave fingerprints all over before deciding to buy it.The panel gap comments and the fingerprint paranoids are just an extension of the THAT group. Tesla Haters, Antagonists, and Tall tales. THAT group likes the status quo. THAT group likes the OG OEMs. THAT group wants us all to stay with the ICE vehicles because they are rounded for pedestrian safety, have unlimited range, never catch fire, make their tires last longer, have ānormalā wiper blades, can tow millions of tons, never get into accidents, etc. THAT group likes to short TSLA. THAT group wants to limit the output of BEVs because they are ātoo fastā and should be more like everything else out there. THAT group has their panties in a wad because the AWD dual motor doesnāt have 500+ miles of range like they promised, or a laser wiper blade, or because they donāt have 3mm SS any longer, orā¦ THAT group wants you to believe they āmissed the targetā with the CT, and that Elon is too busy and his focus is too divided to run a company.
Donāt be a member of THAT group. Just say no.
Why not? I just put $1000 (non-refundable) down on a purchase of a Cybertruck I've never even seen except in photos and videos. I couldn't be happier about that.I think I'll want to touch the truck, sit down in the front and back seats, open the frunk and play with the bed cover, drive it thru around, and thoroughly leave fingerprints all over before deciding to buy it.
Don't be a member of any group that says otherwise.
When I was buying my first new car, the dealer was perplexed by my refusal to take a test drive. I knew that I lacked a frame of reference to evaluate its handling, since Iād driven nothing but POS shitboxes before hahahahaWhy not? We also bought our first Model 3 sight unseen. we still have it and have picked up two more since then. I bought our previous 3 ICE vehicles without sitting in them or test drives too.
I plan on staying with the stainless steel. I wonder how the Cybertruck will look when coming out of the other side of an automated car wash (Quick Quack).
For finger prints that need to be taken care off, I was planning on using Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish.
Thoughts?
EVERY Foundation series should come with a case of these:If someone leaves their fingerprint, we can track them down and seek revenge.
In my case, I do a lot of research before buying a new vehicle. When I do this in an unbiased and attentive manner, and read driving reviews from multiple reviewers, I pretty much know what I'll be getting, there are no big surprises. When I was buying my first new car, the dealer was perplexed by my refusal to take a test drive. Actually, the dealer made me take a test drive, which was uncomfortable as predicted. I bought it nevertheless and drove it for 25 years. It's really odd the way some dealers try to insist that I drive the car even after I've narrowed the possible choices down to exactly what I want.
