One of the guys I deal with on another forum is a huge GM fan and was bagging on the Cybertruck delay.

GM produced ** 850 ** Hummers last year. So I had to point out that the reason the Cybertruck was delayed was the same reason GM only produced 850 Hummers. Tesla just saved themselves millions of dollars by not playing the “I built a factory but don’t have the materials to build cars” game GM played.
Exactly, and all Tesla's factories were churning out and selling every s,x,y and 3 to the tune of over 1 million EV's while GM sold how many Bolts, and Hummers?

Will see what I can find! I know back in 2021 before the walls were up in press area, you could see building daily going down! Was cool! This will be less exciting, but more dramatic as Jeff seems no more on droneing(no videos 2 weeks) and so we only get Joe's every other video and once every other weeks in the window look. Although, I could see press progress being more interesting and having him peak to windows more often.
Joe goes MWF as does Brad Sloan. Jeff has been slowly getting out of drone coverage and his videos show a pretty lackluster interest in the endeavor. I cannot blame him … he went every day for almost 2 years and could have gone TThSa from the beginning and saved some energy. Except for our interest in anything Cybertruck we can survive on 3 days a week.

Yup, GM took over a year to build 850 + 1 Hummers while Tesla slowest fully ramped factory, Fremont, which was formerly a GM plant, can pump out more than 851 vehicles in 2 days.

Pretty sure you're referring to Fremont? That was a Toyota plant not GM?

Tesla had to build a factory

Tesla had to build a worlds first machine for the casting

Had to develop a new innovative way to construct the thing.

Had to contract a firm to build a factory to supply proprietary SS.

We are 850 units behind a legacy company that had it all from the start.

Can’t let facts get in the way of union contribution, GM is leading ok?

GM still delivered more over all EVs in the US than any other traditional manufacturers...

38k plus Bolts was a much better result for 2022.

Hopefully 38k Bolts do not have to be returned to GM due to fire risks.

Ford passed them up last year.

~38,000 Bolts + ~850 Hummers + 122 LYRIQ
~35,000 Mach E + 15,000 Lightning.
They also had a Blazer and something else, but hmm, most of those Bolts came out earlier in the year. Weren't they supposed to get between 50 and 100k this year?
