I selfishly want the Cybertruck to be more expensive and sell fewer units, so I can have one of the only ones on the road

I'm exactly the opposite. For years I've been anticipating the CT to be like The Mustang in 65. Huge interest for a year or so, and then everywhere you look there were Mustangs. People still liked them but not gaga over them at least. I really don't look forward to having an early CT, and having people gawking and taking photos of my truck. But I did reserve one, the night of the reveal.

I agree. I had an early Model 3 that I still love. But when it was new, it was the only one on the road and stood out like a sore thumb. I didn't like that, I'm more into blending in.

It will be impossible to do that for the first 2-3 years in a Cybertruck, but I'm willing to deal with it in exchange for having so much better of a truck. I never really enjoyed driving our F-150, so it was only used on a necessary basis, and I would go far out of my way to not have to drive it. For example:

One time I needed to get a 9-foot-long pressure treated 6"x6" from my home to my cabin, a drive just shy of 2 hours. It was heavy but I put the ski racks on the roof of my Model 3 and lashed the thing on top, simply to avoid having to bring the truck, in perfect condition with only 40K miles on it, out to the cabin. If I had the Cybertruck, I wouldn't have hesitated to throw the 6"x6" in the bed and tie it off so it would be secure if I felt like letting some ponies loose!

Now my cabin is all set to charge my Cybertruck at 48 amps at 10 cents/kWh.
