if the kneel mode and tilt the tailgate way down, then it wouldn't be too bad for most dogs to jump onto the ramp, or only a small stepping stool or ramp would be needed.

So there are rumors that there'll be no slide out ramps from the tailgate, and if true it'd be hard to get onto the bed. Ford F150 has the optional slide out step and vertical grab bar and others have various fold down contractions in the tailgate. I'd be so disappointed if there's no easy way to get onto the bed, and so will my big 100 pound German Shepherd.
there is no ramp. period. it was cute concept but it has zero utiility in mass product..
I'm sure in the last 12 months Elon was in "DELETE, DELETE, DELETE" mode keeping only thing that are really COOL and high utilitiy: RWS, height adjustment, mood lighting, bed cover.
if someone thinks it is a must-have accessory - start designing it, maybe it will sell hundreds of those

then again, when I really need one, I'll just get one for $130: https://www.harborfreight.com/1200-...2tOW5vQ3QrMl5BYvm_ygj-K3SPv7LvwhoCzcsQAvD_BwE

So mood lighting is a high-utility feature and removing the ramp, which most everyone here seems to love, is low utility? If you ask me, all of the time Elon and friends have put into changing steering wheels and wheels probably cost more than putting the ramp in. I guess that I am only half serious because you may be right about the "DELETE, DELETE, DELETE" part of your comment. We may never know the actual reasoning behind their decisions.

If they build it, we will use it. A ramp built into tailgate to load shown quad or just load anything would be huge. Never been done. Anyone that has had or has a truck would love to have that option. ?

Lift the dog yourself- it's good exercise.

Call me a little bias as I owned two ridgelines, but that side winging tailgate was nice. Effortless to open and close. Plus getting to the in-bed trunk and stuff in the bed was much easier. Hopefully Tesla comes up with some type of feature if the ramp doesn't make it.
Agreed. I own a Ridgeline now and never realized how much I would use the barn door side opening feature. It makes the “trunk” in the bed useable. Otherwise you can’t reach it comfortably. Point is, that ramp idea is a big deal that got the attention of current truck owners. I could care less about lighting and the shape of the buttons.
If the CT doesn’t have a similar feature, getting to that trunk won’t be easy.

mood lighting is zero utility but COOL and easy to do so there is wow factor.
ramp - yeah, it is nice utility but too complex to execute for mass production, so DELETE.
Im sure conversation was like: "the extra cost of ramp is $10k, How much is it at Walmart? - $130 - DELETE!"
