Love/Hate things about CT

Two things I love and hate about about my CT:

I love how it drives and I love FSD, and I hate deciding between the two!

I love how it sounds with and without the sound system, and I hate deciding between the two!

Anybody else feel this way?

I love how the trucks aerodynamics never allow bugs to smash into the windshield.
I hate cleaning the inside of the windshield.

I love FSD, it rarely messes up, except when my wife is in the car when I’m trying to convince her to use it in her MY. She’s stubborn as an Ox and refuses to try FSD, which I paid for.

This is absolutely true. Never thought about it. I clean bugs off this windshield way less than any other car I’ve ever had.

So is this a universal truth of married couples? My wife refuses to use it much either in her x . A little on the freeway. Hard to understand why. But god bless America I love her.

what’s the expression? Why buy the cow…..when you can have the ox for free?

Interesting to hear your wives won't use FSD. Mine did not like the OG FSD (the one running on C++ code and not neural net based), but was impressed with the neural net based version that got released last year. So, she bought FSD when she upgraded her 2021 3 to a 2024 (only to get the 0% interest) and she now uses FSD 95% of the time she drives. Honestly, I was surprised and psyched to hear that.

- Love the monoblade (in theory) - HATE the streaks it leaves due to the improper timing of the jet spray. This is a REAL issue that drives me crazy as someone who has to wipe their windshield daily before heading out.
- Love the bed, hate that I have to climb on the tire to access it from the side of the truck.
- Love FSD, hate when it takes me out of the fast lane I was driving in, only to return to it 20 seconds later when it realizes the lane it put me in is much slower. On that note - hate that it resets the wiper back to Auto thus creating issue #1 above all over again.
- Love the truck/Hate that I have to essentially "come out" to people as owning one.

For me, I love the Steer-by-Wire. That’s a game changer. I feel that Tesla will sooner or later bring it to all of their vehicles. Overall, everything about my FSCB is great. Probably one of the best vehicles I have owned. I’m usually the type of person that keeps a vehicle for only a year and then exchange for another one, but I’m planning to keep this one for a while. Now, one thing that annoys me the most is the FSD on the highway. In Atlanta, they have HOV lanes on all three of the interstate that runs through it. However, when on FSD, it keeps kicking me out of it for some reason. I don’t get it. In the settings, I checked the box where it gives you the option to use HOV lanes. Hopefully, Tesla will fix this with an OTA.

I grew up just south of Atlanta... not a fan of the changing one-way lanes in Atlanta though...
I remember when I-75 was just getting widened into a divided highway. Barely, but still...

I love FSD.
I hate that Tesla screwed me when I was taking advantage of the "One-time FSD transfer" when we sold my wife's 2020 MY for a 2023 MY (specifically for the HW for FSD)... She didn't realize they didn't transfer FSD until we were halfway across the country moving. Still chaps my hide...

hate the cup holders and the phone charger. wish that the native podcast app had better control over the order of episodes played

love the drive, the sound of the music, wish we could upload our own engine noises not just our horn sound. if we could make it sound like a tie fighter, or a land speeder, or the millenium falcon, or even a diesel engine that would be cool.

I hate it that it's changed the way I think about what I drive and what I should expect in a vehicle for the rest of my life. STRAIGHT RUINED ME.

I hate that I wonder, if Tesla stopped making them, what I would buy that would be close enough that it wouldn't drive me insane having to deal with its shortcomings.

I love that is doing so many things well no vehicle ever has

I love it that it's the sports car I always craved (always been a SUV/Truck guy), while being a pickup truck that doesn't look like a pickup truck.

I love that I literally don't find myself even a little jelly at any [expensive fancy sports car] next to me anymore because I know what the Beast can do.

I love it that I've never felt safer for myself or my passengers. Life risk mitigation.

I love the stereo system, they didnt have to make it /THAT/ good but they did. Amazing.. Chefs. Kiss..

I wish the ventilated seats were designed better.

It's a Chauffeured bullet-proof concert faster than a supercar that doesn't get door dings and can transport a 4'x8' sheet of plywood while not giving a F.. thats a spaceship. thats the future..

I know the outside the perimeter on the North side of 75 has new PeachPass going one way. I didn’t know they did it on South side. Inside the perimeter are HOV lanes.

I hate that there is no A pillar grab handle for helping people with accessibility problems to use to get in. There's gotta be a way but I haven't figured it out yet. (Same complaint with the Y and the X I have driven, 1 family member couldn't quite get stable enough to get in passenger side)

Love the climate Keep. 4 wheel steering, steer by wire, lightshow, weather overlay on map. The Usuals.

Hate the warped sides of the bed and one quarter panel

Love everything else, it drives and offers features like no other vehicle.

I love the fact I get lifetime free super charging. I hate the fact I only drive it on weekends.

i love that that frunk can be opened and closed from my phone but hate the fact you can only open the tail gate.
