We corral ourselves down little mental canyons only to realize when we get to the end it’s a wide open field and we just have blinders on.

I think something significant we will see at this event, is the next platform. It will be smaller than the 3, and built from a single casting. It will be low-cost, high-volume. Thus, the thousands of vehicle bodies in the event logo.

If Elon is ready to start focusing past these goals it would seem to insinuate that they are getting ready to start putting some robotaxis on the road this year. That is pretty exciting for me.

Maybe, he said, if they have the battery supply. Gen 3 is Model 3/Y and they have yet to implement all the tech they planned in the beginning. Even most Model Ys coming from Austin don't have 4680 packs yet.

Probably. I thought they looked a bit different myself, but honestly don’t care enough to double-check. People over-analyze this pre-event stuff and are almost always wrong. (Not pointing fingers at anyone in particular here, just in general)

If it is the Gen 3 vehicle it’s not telling us anything new because we know this meeting is about Gen 3.

Could be why the windows were blocked at the Austin casting end. Perhaps they don't wish to show what shape castings are laying about.
