Thank you. I LOVE it.
So, how do I order it to https://www.in3dtec.com
If I send the zip file you sent me, they now what to do?
Yes.
  1. Select "instant quote" process.
  2. drag in your files. The site will analyze them for a few minutes.
  3. Select SLM
  4. Below that select 316L Steel Glass bead blasted
  5. Click on the second file and make sure it has the same selected
  6. Double-check and Click Confirm
Not sure what happens next (didn't want to confirm another order). Make sure both models are in your final invoice - this page only shows one at a time.
Should look like this:

Here's a closeup of what the printed inserts look like from the printer. You can see the pitting as well as both vertical and horizontal striations. Have to sand down through all that with 80 grit before proceeding.

For an additional $8 they will manually put a brushed finish on the SS pieces. I assume this is instead of the glass bead finish. That may result in a thicker cover vs having to remove the glass bead surface before polishing. Seems worth ordering it that way. Thoughts?

If it does, it is worth every penny. It took me some time to get mine sanded down.

Selecting SLS, the plastic trim pieces fail checks in TPU 90A (walls too thin). I had to select HP MJF and TPU 92A to pass checks.

Completed my order for two covers and two trim pieces. Thanks TickTock for making your 3D print files available. Your design is the best I've seen so far. I'll report back on the appearance of the SS covers with the manual post process brushed finish when I receive them.

I ordered the side mirror delete covers and trim from IN3DTEC using TickTock's 3D design files modified to allow them to apply a brushed finish. What I got was a fairly close match to CT's finish.

Unfortunately the grain is transverse rather than longitudinal. Had I known, I would have instructed in3dtec to polish/brush it lengthwise. I don't think it would take much to alter the finish to match the trucks stainless steel (as TickTock was able to do), but, frankly, you have to look closely to notice the difference. The more noticeable difference is the color of the SLS-TPU rubber trim piece, which is very black and has a rough surface texture compared to the factory rubber seal material.

I spent a total of $98.22 including shipping for two sets. They are a snap to install once the factory mirrors are removed. Overall, I'm pleased with the result.

I wonder if the TPU will lighten up some with age/UV exposure.

did you use oil with the abrasive pads?
You don't want to use oil when sanding because then the metal wouldn't self-passivate without stripping the oil off first. Self-passivation needs oxygen and moisture to work. Oil prevents the oxygen from getting to the surface.
