You can check my history for my previous problems, but my 3rd PCS is about to fail. I had #1 replaced about 6 weeks after purchasing in May of 2024. Then my 2nd replacement was in October of 2024.
Now this week my home charging has dropped to 24 amps and when I went to the service menu I had the red PCS2_a136 error. Luckily I had a service appointment for this next week. So assuming this gets replaced this will be my 4th PCS in less than 2 years.

I am considering a buy back. I love this truck but it has been in service for more than 2 months over the last 23 months. And not for finicky stuff. PCS (2x), lights going out, Driver's Seat not moving, Sail applique flying off, damaged compressor from PCS replacement, and before this PCS issue I had an appointment for constant issues with camera calibration and FSD. Anyways, we'll see what they say after this next appointment.

Oh joy, the boards here indicate Tesla on rev G now, you can check your old service records and see what revisions was installed. With the parts delay perhaps a lemon buyback and repurchase would be faster, who knows. I tried to add PCS issue to my lightbar install and they said nope, created an appointment specifically for that June 10. Lord knows it will prolly be pushed then. On the plus side you should get the free supercharging update now.

That’s so weird, seems like something else in the truck is causing PCS to fail (eg grounding issue?).
I’m holding my breath with a VIN 3xxx Mar 2024 delivery, no issues so far at 55k miles. I’d have a lot more miles by now if the PCS hadn’t caused me to stop driving it prior to hitting 50k warranty expiration.

At this point I would think it might be your charging source breaking the PCS. Mine is fine after 1 year and 30k miles.

I wouldn't consider a buyback, I would pursue it. Best of luck, it's a great truck and worth owning long term, and I would be more than happy to get a new one if mine was problematic.

Buyback at this point. Have you had a wiring harness replacement?

Your 2nd PCS replacement in Oct 2024 is part of the batch for internal recall, so that checks out. But still, you are unfortunately very unlucky in this case. Try not to let it sour your experience.

I’d go with a buy back. At best, it’s the PCS itself that’s going bad. At worst, there is something else in the truck making the PCS go bad or techs are not doing the repair correctly.

Get the G version of the PCS, if that goes out do a buyback.
G has been very stable and had almost no issues, it is what should have been in the trucks in the first place.
