I’m not OP but just learned I have a failure. Surprisingly I mainly charge via 110v then a dash of supercharging. I always thought these failures were caused by high amp AC charging. Mine has probably been broke for awhile as I never charge at high enough amps to be restricted. I only found out because I did a test high AC charge and was restricted at 24 amps. Then found the alerts in the service menu. My truck just got out of Tesla service and faults were dated while they had the truck and they didnt disclose the issue to me.Sorry to hear. It's a gen 3 universal tesla charger. I have had it for 4 years and have used it to charge my MY and other EVs. I charge at 48 amps. Never had a single problem with it other than with the CT.Sorry to hear. What brand and model is your charger at home, and what current level do you charge at most?
Like I said, I have loved the truck! And in fact I ordered a 2nd Duel-motor model when it dipped to $59k. I wasn't sure if I'd keep the reservation, but now I think I might do a buyback with this and keep the reservation when it comes available.Buyback at this point. Have you had a wiring harness replacement?
Your 2nd PCS replacement in Oct 2024 is part of the batch for internal recall, so that checks out. But still, you are unfortunately very unlucky in this case. Try not to let it sour your experience.
Makes me nervous to check the work thats been done on my truck…. Im in the same boat, my truck has spent 45 business days in service in 13 months. Ive had a myriad of issues, this is my second truck… knock on wood things are pretty stable right now (for about 3 weeks i haven't had an issue) my last issue, my power steering ecu didnt pay its internet bill and was cut off from the rest of the truck for some reason… they dont know why it happened but they flashed the module and it seemed to reset fine… they just let my battery drain to 0% SOC and left it there for around 24 hours while i begged them to plug it in and not let it sit like that overnight and pointed out that the owners manual specifically says NEVER allow the battery to get to a 0% SOC… They downplayed my concerns until i sent an email to the regional manager and they got it plugged in the next morning. im also on a rev E pcs (first failed 4/2025) so im biting my nails waiting for that to fail i always charge at 48a at home so ill notice it as soon as it happens.Like I said, I have loved the truck! Overall in so many ways it's an amazing truck to drive, but honestly my specific vehicle has a ton of problems even beyond what I've listed. Mine was in service for almost 5 weeks back in 2024 when they were new and the techs were not familiar with repairing. When replacing the first PCS they broke and busted so many things in that truck. A harness, a seal, the air compressor, etc. They returned it but warned me that a mobile mechanic would be out to repair some busted trim pieces and paneling. He came out a month later and spent 5 hours fixing things.
There have been lots of other things I've noticed that they just straight pieced back together very poorly. On the overhead trim piece--above the drivers head--I took it off to run wiring for the rear view mirror. There were 2 snap attachments that were missing, 1 broken, and the little white snap attachments that prevent it from dropping on your head in a crash were all completely crushed. Not one of them was inserted correctly. 99% of people would not notice cause how often are you touching the ceiling above you. But I would guess it is secured by less than half of the original number of attachments. It looked like they just took a hammer to each one of them.
A couple week ago I had to replace the left rear tail light. When I took it off I saw a mounting bolt completely missing. I know they had to completely dissasemble the bed to mess with the PCS and the compressor so I guess they lost a bolt decided it was good enough with 1 missing.
On the frunk I noticed a snap attachment was missing and a wire mounting piece on the front LED light was broken off.
All these things aren't necessarily a big deal to me, but when they add up with all the other problems I've had it feels like I'm driving a salvaged title vehicle.

I get that, but the customer facing side of the issue is oh hmm my $80k vehicle is draining the battery while it sits there untouched in the sc’s care, Let me ask them nicely over a period of a week to plug it in since i dont even typically let it go below 20%… “we will plug it in right away”… days go by… oh wow now it says 0% and they still haven't plugged it in! “Dont worry we will get it on a charger now” shop closes…it just doesnt make you feel like they are actually taking care of your car, and as the poster above described, how am i supposed to trust that they are carefully disassembling and reassembling the fragile plastic components without hidden damage if they cant even plug the damn thing in when asked before it reaches displayed 0?I understand the discomfort, to clarify things a little:
The warning is to not let your vehicle fully discharge. That is, or at least should be, different than 0% SOC. Service can see what buffer the pack still has available.
If can connect to your vehicle with the app, the HV battery hasn't hit its undercharge limit. The problems occur if the HV pack self protects which results in the MV battery discharging which unpowers everything.

General advice:
Avoid leaving the Battery at or near 0% or 100% for long periods of time whenever possible.

Was other work done on the truck, or were they just holding it after the reflash to make sure it stuck? If they had it partly disassembled, their procedures may not allow charging (or unattended charging). Even if that were the case, feedback would be much better than silence/ ignored.
My point was that, never hit 0% isn't what the owner's manual calls out and could mislead other readers.

re: “never hit 0”- i understand what youre describing you are correct that it does not say “never allow the battery to hit 0%” verbatim, but it is pretty clear that doing so is not great for the hv battery and stresses it unnecessarily. i also understand that there is a buffer. I also understand that the risk of permanent damage to the HV and MV components is low, however, it also specifically says damage due to discharge related events is not covered by warranty. My point was that they have a duty of care while the vehicle is in their custody. This specifically shows one or more of 1. Apathy 2. Willful Neglect, 3. Arrogance 4. Poor communication and customer service and worse than those: 5. Incompetence.

Right, "zero percent" does NOT mean "zero volts". There's still dangerous levels of voltage in the pack at 0%, just not enough to operate the vehicle.My point was that, never hit 0% isn't what the owner's manual calls out and could mislead other readers.
