Does anyone know how the mini reception compares to that big ass rotating antenna I have for my Starlink? (gen 2 with Actuator is what I have now). I know the mini supposed to top out at 100 Mbps but that’s plenty. I just have struggles with trees about 30% of time with Starlink. Mine is unruly to store and set up and take down. I have to be connected to work -7 days a week so have to be plugged in everywhere.
I've driven around the southwest United States and most of the north half of the state of Florida and had consistent connections. Speed is routinely 200+ down and 50+ up. I love the mini. Here's my fully portable setup.

how many watts is that battery pack
Here's the battery pack:

Here's the solar panels:

Of note - to charge the battery at the same time as using it, I hand to produce a 20v output from the solar panel, to do that I put these together and pulled power from the barrel plug of the solar panels into the USB-C brick:

Finally, you need a USB-C to starlink adapter:

Not yet, I'm testing it out in my driveway. I have the starlink mounted inside (rear roof glass with suction cups) running a 10ft cable to the USB-C in the back seat. That way my 110volt plug is still available in the rear, for my fridge (that's coming).

Works great running multiplayer networkef on Call of Duty :)
That's interesting... I got absolutely no connection on the back glass roof. If I move it forward to the front glass, full strength. I tried it on stock power supply as well (just in case), and oriented the back of the truck to the north where I still got a strong signal out the front window pointed south...
Is yours a foundation series? Any modifications to the back roof glass?

Using mine right now

And yes. This car is outrageously fast. Nothing this heavy should move this fast.
What's the object with the green led on the left side of this photo?

An air freshener I got for free with one of my Tesstudio purchases.

I’m trying it out because I have it but I use drift stone air fresheners x2 in the truck. Love those, so fat chance I’m replacing that approach.
Kind of cool though. I’m charging it there but it has a cute little solar panel.
There is a little drawer that you put the cartridges on and it supposedly senses the cars movement and activates a tiny fan in short bursts. According to the promo videos it can deodorize just about anything. Even a cat.
I’m not partial to reposting this kind of thing but it’s pretty funny. The things people do for sales. lol. It starts out with a female voice saying “you can put it anywhere”. Worth watching just for entertainment value.

Yes, Foundation series, and no modifications (no additional tinting etc) on the rear glass. Connected with no problem.

That's strange. I'm roughly VIN 2200. What is yours? Does your rear roof window have what looks like stock tint starting maybe 4 inches from the front of the glass? Would be interesting if there were different versions of the tint. On my old models S's and X's, one had to put toll transponders in a certain spot near the rear view mirror because of the stock material in the glass.

That’s cool. I am getting my Cybertruck next week and planning to mount the mini on the roof rack using the roof rack mount from Starlink and route the wires through the gaps between tonneau and tailgate. I will be able to use WiFi with tonneau closed and probably save some battery. What do you all think?

https://www.starlink.com/shop/products/us-consumer-roof-rack-mount-mini
How exciting, have fun taking delivery. That sounds like an awesome idea and actually something I may upgrade to later as I plan on ordering the cross bars eventually, might mount on there. Just keep in mind that you may have a hard time making or maintaining a connection with all windows closed, I currently fly have to have my drivers side winder cracked a little at least just for a connection to be made and held onto consistently. The double pane glass on CT doesn’t help in that department lol. But it’s manageable and usually not an issue, especially if you plan on using it more often when parked.
