My overhead console drops down too often.

It started after I repeatedly yanked the sun visors off/on when I put my sunshade. Feels like a plastic tab may have broken. Seems like a problem waiting to happen.
Any one else fixed this?

You’re not the only one, mine drops as well. But mine started after some yahoos pulled it down to install tint on the upper glass.

No plastic plugs are broken and I usually just push ( in three places ) back into place.

But it does seem the plugs may be a smaller dia than needed.

One time is too often. I’ve taken mine down several times to install various things, and haven’t had a problem with it. And I was pretty rough with it a few times.

Same, tint company busted mine and said nothing. Falls down more often lately.

Take a look at the dimensions of the lower receiver, you may find that it is spread apart which is allowing for loose fitment. I just had mine down the other day and that’s what I found. (See attached photo)

Now if I can figure out what that part is and how it is attached to the windshield.
