Most countries with a large amount of EVs have used incentives to do it. And their Governments have installed charging infrastructure. So I feel people here still need some kind of incentive to switch from gas to electric. Our public charging is garbage. Tesla has done what they can but for the majority of customers to switch it will take easy charging and lower prices.
The Supercharger Network is superior to all other private and public networks combined. And Tesla paid for it out of their own pocket. Because they manufacture efficiently. They even make the Superchargers themselves in their Buffalo, N.Y. factory. The other charge networks buy crappy equipment and software from suppliers.

Big oil donates large amounts to candidates and political action committees, putting government firmly in the pocket of big oil. No one raises an eyebrow. But when Elon donates to a political action committee, they act like it's just not right.

As far as I know hauling doesn't have any insider info to claim that tesla's packs wont qualify. It's right now in the process for certification. Tesla has deployed a couple of CT which would qualify.

So, give it a second.
I haven't claimed to have insider information, I'm merely using logic and common sense to analyze the info we do have. And Tesla has said there's not nearly enough qualifying battery minerals to go around. Tesla is highly unlikely to use them in the Cybertruck. Even if they get the cathode plant up and running by the end of this year, you will be hard-pressed or lucky to get one before 2025 when the battery mineral content becomes stricter and disqualifies them.

It should be readily apparent that the chances of getting any federal tax incentives beyond the $7500 Business Tax Credit, are extremely low. If it does materialize shortly, it will be in very limited numbers and there will be no certainty that you will be able to take delivery before the end of the year.

Jesus. None of Elon's businesses have been with their own funding with the exception of the boring company. This article from 2015 explains more but leaves out the funding that SpaceX has received more recently.

With the new administration's promised reversal of the $7,500 EV incentive, which Elon supports, and lower than expected demand at current pricing, shouldn't we expect further reductions in the pricing of the CyberTruck soon? I'm not talking about the single motor variant. It seems to me that there is a significant number of purchasers are waiting on the incentive to become official, but if ultimately it will not happen, or won't happen for long, shouldn't Elon address the main barrier to sales, that being it is still too expensive for what we get?
Very few people, if any, in this forum got a tax credit for the Cybertruck. Your thought process makes more sense for a Y or 3 forum.

The government produces nothing, so it taxes people and corporations ( more people) that produce and then “gives” a small portion of the money back in the form of discounts (tax credits) on the tax they still pay. And people call that a subsidy. Then when people buy the product, they still pay sales tax, registration fees and local taxes on top of that. So that 7500 you get is just going back to the government.

I hope the credit gets expanded so it’s for everyone regardless of income, and regardless of ev/ice. As long as it is made in usa.

Subsidies and properly directed stimulus monies have historically generated a 3:1 for every dollar spent.

The disappearing 2MM unit reservations and now a wait list of one week.
Don't forget there may be many people that wanted the single motor variant. Which may be a large number if cost was an issue. the fact that they are now profitable after 30k trucks sold does indicate they have a pretty good margin.

Meh, I purchased all 5 of my Tesla without any tax incentives, our gov is too cheap to be all inclusive, but yet, all they preach about is "inclusion" ?...
?
Inclusion is not about cars. The tax credit is about income level.
