PowerShare + Cybertruck to the rescue as home power backup after tornado!

High winds and a tornado knocked out our power this evening. The Beast and its newly activated PowerShare saved the day (night), while the neighborhood is out of power I’ve got more that a day with AC and power. Worked better Than I could have expected!

That is exactly what I am trying to do. My tech company is telling me power share is not available yet from tesla so they have to do a work around which I am not going for. Thanks for the post.

I have 3 powerwalls. After we first installed them the neighbors had an 8 hour power outage of which we were completely unaware. We live in the land of rolling black outs and power cuts during Santa Anna winds which are a fire risk. This makes the PowerShare Cybertruck/cyberbeast premium a bargian ... add on top the sheer joy to drive and upcoming full self driving and I can't stop smiling...

Power has been out since Thursday around 6pm. Friday at 9pm the Tesla app said we had 14 hours left til the 20% limit I set so we went to a supercharger and charged again. As of this morning it shows we have more than 1 day of energy remaining.

I’m sure things are crazy there! Still wondering how you have this working. Are you a Tesla employee? Wondering if they pushed an update to some due to storms? Glad the truck is making a difference!
