Sounds like you should do an overnight Cybertruck Test Drive, plug it in and see what happens.
Brilliant. Just go get a truck from the Tesla sales center for a test drive, bring it home and test that

Tesla actually remotely enables PowerShare after your install so not sure it would work out of the box.
Activation on the truck?

If his Powershare hardware is already installed and 'turned on' then you'd think any Cybertruck should be able to plug in and supply power.

When I called the just had me flip a menu switch under “charging” menu I think it was. Mine is a powerwall setup so it did nothing though. Lol

I definitely do not have Powershare and it looks like it's just a toggle in the truck or app, here is the app view. So if you can access the Controls panel or have app access for a demo drive I think you can flip the switch.

Is it a sub panel that is being backed up? (photo of that)
When you are testing, is it by using the off grid toggle in the app or by flipping off the main service breaker? If the app, try flipping main breaker instead.

Do truck outlets all work ok?
Testing was done by both methods. Largely by pulling the master breaker. The app results in the same.

The truck passed the outlet test. It is able to charge our plaid on all three outlets. NIce! I have never tried that!

Yes, that is correct. However, the system was activated months ago. The installing electrician has been out again, spend 4 hours taking pictures and sent the back to the mothership and had dialog. No answers.

Going to go out on a limb and say the isolation switch in the Gateway has a short, but only when in isolation mode.

Mongo, if this ends up being right it’s just plain witchcraft

Yep. That’s what they had me switch on when I called them. Didn’t realize there was also something else they had to do. Is that accurate?

To my knowledge the electrician turned in papers via the Tesla One app along with all the inspection fun. Someone throws a switch on Tesla's side that pushes a software update to the gateway and the truck then you get that "button" in the Cybertruck.
After that I flipped it on, then manually ran my test by flipping my Main panel shutting off the grid.
Truck gets woke up by the gateway, they have a chat then power restored within about a minute or so to the house.

Nothing to push to the truck in terms of a special software branch. Every Cybertruck (not sure about the single motor) has the ability to enable Powershare via a software switch AFAIK. I don't have Powershare and my truck still has the software switch per image posted above.

That said, my understanding is that Tesla does need to remote enable the hardware, but that may also be a relic from early installs - not sure.

So I assume all that happened already when my powerwall 3’s and UWC and gen 3 connector got commissioned and that since I could switch on the truck PowerShare nothing but a software update was still an obstacle.
Sounds like some folks are suggesting there is more Tesla Voodoo that I need to learn about.

Yeah I definitely did not have the PowerShare button in the truck until the work was completed and approved.

via the Tesla one app I was able to pair with the gateway and see a lot of the paperwork, pictures etc. So unless anything’s changed since November I’m sure it’s a step.

Guess that means mine is approved since I have the magic purple button then?
Can’t test it yet either because no powerwall support right?
