I recently had my PowerShare installed. It does have advantages but honestly I wouldn't recommend getting it if you have to pay out of pocket. Especially some of the quotes I'm seeing in this thread. Just go with a generator connection (using the Cybertruck outlets), it'll be way cheaper and only be mildly inconvenient.

Mine was $6300. I am half a mile from the substation and I’d say I’ve had 4 outages in 16 years from 3-8hrs. Tough pill.

Wonder what they charge for stringing up a xmas tree? ?

my quote was exactly the same as your quote. I am in Honolulu. Description of work was word for word as your quote. I sent an email to the assigned electrician to ask about the $2,500 credit. It is not clear to me if the quote includes the price of the equipment or if this is just for the labor.
