I was just quoted just over $6000! does this seem right?

I have applied for permits myself in the past and paid about $50!!! The PowerShare Gateway will be installed 2-3 feet away from my electrical panel. And the Universal Charger will be offset on the opposite wall of the electrical panel. Is this a reasonable price, ***$6,128.00 USD***? Or am I being jacked, due to being a CT owner?

What are others paying for the PowerShare install? I am in tri-state.

I would like to minimize my expenses since purchasing this hot rod!

Need more info.... How many circuits are they relocating? If this is for whole circuit backup I'm going to say it's about $1500 higher than my install. If they are choosing the backup circuits because you're whole house is to high draw then this could be about right.

they never got to that level of detail. What I have downstairs in the basement are 2 x 200 amp breaker panels. What I am looking to have backed up are essentials that include AC condenser (cooling only) / air handler - steam heat Steam/boiler (minimal electric usage), refrigerator, lights and essential outlets. told i cannot include both electric dryer and washer. so those are out. not much else to backup. hopefully this is a little more detail.

That requires spitting out those circuits from the two panels they are currently in, thus the higher cost.
Before: 2x200A panel
After: 2x200A panel + Gateway feeding third panel with the backed up loads
(Maybe they can swap circuits and backup one panel)

Vs simple install
Before: 200 A panel
After: Gateway feeding 200A panel
Or Gateway with backed up loads feeding non backed up 200A panel
