PowerShare showed up for me in the app and truck interface yesterday. I haven’t yet been able to figure out how to test this though, which I’d love to do rather than waiting for a power outage to see it in action for the first time.

Oh, gotcha. You switched to Powershare in the morning, left it running, and it worked for a while then later couldn't handle AC startup?
Yes. I don't know if it couldn't deliver enough amps at the lower state of charge or if the startup demand was higher as the temperature rose.

Mine took about a week after install and permit approval for the feature to activate. You will know when it’s active when you see a PowerShare tutorial upon logging into the app.
Mine is ended up taking several weeks to get the truck feature flag update.
but I am very happy to report it is working. Flawlessly

Have you been able to test PowerShare? I'd like to test mine by turning the grid off, but haven't successfully been able to open the box yet. It seems it needs more force than I have thus far applied, but hesitant to brute force it to open. Any advice on how to open the box itself? Thanks.

I had the same issue with the Powershare 3V wall mounted box. I didn't at first notice that there is a sticker with the 'instructions' behind the latch mechanism, visible if you stick your head around the edge of the box on the right side. The secret in my case was to push the glass door (it is a "door," with the two hinges on the left side of the box) inward a bit to take the friction load off the latching mechanism. Note that there is a shaft in the curved 'handle' on which it rotates, so you know it must move around that axis. While putting some pressure on the door, push on the top of the curved/smooth handle with your thumb, then put one or two fingers under the bottom of the handle so you can put more torque on it. It will 'pop' the door latch and the door will swing outwards toward you. The first time in my case was much more difficult that it should have been because the installers unintentionally bent the metal tab in the box frame cover so that there was even more friction than there should have been. I took a medium 'crescent' wrench and re-bent the tab to a perpendicular position, which is where logic dictated it should have been. The door now easily pops open using the thumb and two finger approach.

Note that my 'paraphrasing' of Tesla's instructions is NOT the official version! Good luck.

To those that have the 3V Gateway installed, do you have this label? I've got a label there, but it doesn't include the "Password" field that would be used to provision it, it's just a generic Model/Serial label.

Maybe the installer is not supposed to include it, but IDK how it can be re-provisioned if this is ever required.

Mine also just has the two line plus 2D barcode on the panel behind the glass door, so that's probably the 'new normal.'

BUT -- if you remove the faceplate (the metal cover that keeps the breakers in place and covers the electronics of the 3V), mine has the password and the SSID of the unit, as well as the 2D barcode, on a paper lable affixed to the "taco" (the communications control unit).

I'm fairly certain that yours will have that too.

Has anyone’s PowerShare controls in the app and the tesla screen disappear?
Mine is completely gone now after a failed PowerShare attempt during a blackout. Zero issues testing it before.

I already have solar, powerwalls, and the universal charger. Just took delivery of my Cybertruck the other day. What do I need to do; or is this just a matter of waiting?

Yep, you just need to wait for Tesla to release software to enable Powershare with Powerwalls, that's all.

Tues 07/02 I was prepping for a road trip and noticed the Poweshare icon on my app. Nothing else, just that little icon. Nothing in the truck, nothing in the app. Didn't have time to play with it. Funny Tesla. Funny Rainman...

Just had mine installed today. What a cluster. The company had never done it and I don’t think they did it right.

1. Did they move your circuits to the gateway from your existing breaker box, or have wires out the bottom of the gateway to the “External Circuit Backups?” Mine did neither. I don’t think they wired any backup.

2. I think they tried to install the charger first. When I went to add the gateway to the software, it made me create a new location. I couldn’t add to existing. Any way to combine these?

3. I don’t have the backup option in my controls.

Yea I've been installed for weeks now... Currently sitting in the dark in Houston after the hurricane knocked out the power... I called and was told I have to wait 2 weeks to get the option tuned on. So I have extention cords running all thru the house from the bed trying to not lose the content of my fridge and provide sat TV at least. No internet it's down, no. AC! This is gonna roast tomorrow... At least I have fans for a little air.

Meanwhile somewhere at Tesla service they "can't do anything"...

Damn. That sucks you have the equipment, an emergency need, and getting F’d over by no software push. That’s BS.

Yeah, at this point, that setup would only let the Cybertruck power ... nothing...
Gateway isolates the internal panel board and external lugs from the source feed, so the 60A breaker to the UWC will end up on its own.
