My app doesn't seem to have this button available yet.
If you tap “Controls” in the app, you’ll see a “Learn More” link under the Powershare toggle switch. That will bring up the tutorial again.

For any other idiots out there like me, the discharge limit is only available during a power outage.
“Raises hand”. Thanks for the heads up! ?

That was definitely not obvious… until it was. ? glad to see several of us have it working now.

So I got my PowerShare installed yesterday. Electrician came back today to test it. Everything was successfully installed and registered, but the PowerShare would not work. Electrician called Tesla support and they said to activate PowerShare in my vehicle settings under charging, and also in the app under controls. However, I have neither option showing up. There’s no option on the touch screen or the controls in the app to activate PowerShare. Some of you got an email saying PowerShare was active. At one point did you receive that? Does anyone have any advice or suggestions. This is quite frustrating after spending so much time with electrician on install and testing.

What software version do you have on your truck? You won't see the option to enable Powershare unless you're on 2024.14.3 or higher.

To enable Powershare Home Backup, make sure you're on your truck in the Tesla app, then select Controls. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and you should see options for controlling the bed lights, CyberTent Mode, enabling the power outlets, and Powershare Home Backup.

I’m on 2024.14.6. Yet I’m still not seeing the option in controls.

Interesting. Yea, it should be right under Power Outlets.

Strange. Have you tried doing a reboot of your truck and/or killing and restarting the Tesla app just to see if it's something simple? Outside of that, I don't have any other suggestions. :(

Question Did any of you get an email that already had power walls and a gateway that said you were getting a voucher to order the universal charger from the store and how long did it take you to get the voucher? The message I remember seeing but now can't find said it would be within two weeks. It has been two weeks. I also haven't been paired with an installer yet so I am not sure how much PowerShare will cost and what needs to be done. I am assuming a few circuits will need to be moved to power the AC system on my house.

Yea I tried all that. Electrician just got off the phone with Tesla after holding for 45 minutes and they said PowerShare won’t be available to me for another 1-2 weeks. Not much consistency or communication from Tesla, as always.

Yea, their support folks seem misinformed. I had some questions about my setup after it was installed and I had received the email saying my system was active. They told me the software needed for Powershare to work wouldn't be available until June, yet the email I received listed all the required versions for the truck, app, UWC, and gateway and I was at or above on all of them.

Did they say why? Or what the criteria is? Are they rolling it out like software updates? Seems odd to let you install thousands of dollars worth of equipment only to ransom the functionali... wait, nevermind. Forgot the company we're dealing with.

I'm in the same spot, everything installed for two weeks but the wall connector says it's offline (even though it's not), the gateway won't show me a firmware version, and I don't have the option to enable it in the Tesla app or the Truck.
